Hey everyone! Long time lurker now finally joining the forum !

I bought a new 2009 R3 back in October but didn't have time to drive it around as I was stuck at uoft finishing up my pharmacy classes. Wasn't planning to buy the car until after my convocation in June but the sales manager at Markham Mazda gave me a sweet deal ($31,500 before taxes!!!).

My father is a car wholesaler, so growing up I've had the privilege of driving many cars working as his car jockey - of all the cars I've driven, the RX-8 definitely ranks #1 in my books (this would be the 4th RX-8 I've driven!)

no that other RX8 isnt mine, it belongs to my dad's inventory (hes a wholesaler - keeps some of the cars at our house). we had trouble selling it so we got Markham Mazda to put it on their lot to see if they can sell it (anyone want a 2005 VR 6 speed GT ? haha).

ahh the houses are pretty average... its an old neighborhood - lots of nice cars here though !! thankfully I believe I'm the only person running around here with an RX8?

 

well we know hes a real rotorhead with 2 rx8's. Sweet house my friend I didnt know pharmacists make that much dough. I think im in the wrong business!

holy friggg that's a sweet deal AND a sweet ride!! I love the tail lights on the R3, so nice, and white is the way to go =)

Plan on driving it down to UofT? or do you commute? I keep mine in the student garage under the rotman building, and occasionally there's another black rx-8 there, i've only seen him/her twice in the lot though, many times around campus!

oh man the house definitely isnt mine, im still a student lol - i recently moved out of my crummy rental apartment downtown back to my parents house for my clinical placements for pharmacy school.

I went to the dealership hoping for blue actually haha but white was definitely appealing!!

Maffu, I used to drive downtown to uoft back in 1st year - but I had a bmw 330i back then haha. I used to park at the same rotman parking garage too actually!! I don't recall seeing any RX8s back then but that was 3 years ago. I'm kicking around Markham now because I have to do some work placements for school up here before they let me graduate. I'm trying to use the R3 through the winter but man she doesn't like the rain or snow very much...

if that is the last white r3 markham mazda had, you beat me to it by a day...i wanted a white one...although markham mazda is a shithole..lol...they had and and they told me it was sold....congrats bro...i live in markham aswell

 

daaamn - yeah that was the last one; sorry schnipster lol - are you still looking around for one? the old markham mazda was pretty brutal but they have been progressing for the better lately (new building, new staff etc.) the sales manager is a really cool guy and sales staff were all nice as well. my only complaint was that they did do a shabby job with the clean-up before delivery but they apparently fired the clean up guy shortly after =S !

 

that car was on the lot for a while....they have a 9000 incentive to get rid of it.....i love the r3 in white....hey ur dad interested in buying a stock cat back exhaust or 08 40th anniversary rims...or does he know any one i gott get this crap outta the garage.

A Blue one is hard to find. My deal took about 8 weeks to find me one up in Maple.

I'm near buttonville airport area, so i guess the more west part of markham! i was hoping to get my work placement at markham stouffville hospital but they sent me to southlake in newmarket instead =\

2hit6, yeah that was likely me lol i was at my friend's house a few days ago in the bur oak area. I don't recall seeing a VR that day haha. There were 2 sales managers when I bought my car - one was a white guy (Rick - hes a nice guy, friend of my dads) the other was an asian guy who was apparently fired a few weeks ago. as far as i know most of the staff there should be new since the old markham mazda... i hear one of the owners was also forcibly removed from the business...

My VR is stored away for the winter since Nov... I was in my Matrix...lolz

South-Lake is a great hospital...one of the better cancer care centres....I'm sure you'll learn lots...more then the typical antibiotics, blood pressure and other maintenance medications...

I've had a bad incident with the old markham mazda when I purchased my mazda3 there...lose faith in the dealership...only scarbo mazda from now onwards...besides...scarbo mazda has an experienced rotary expert.....hehehe
