My RX-8 days are done :o(
Just picked up a Mazdaspeed 6 last week. Can't say I am won over by it yet, but I needed a full blown 4 door sedan for my job. 274HP AWD is making the transition a little easier but for now I still miss the feel of the 8.
The 8 is still in my garage as my lease officially ends at the end of April but Mazda made getting the 6 in March way more advantageoous than buying it in April.
I am sorry I never got in on any of the meets at D&B but I thank you all for being a good resource. If anyone one wants my snows let me know they were on the OEM's - and if anyone has some tires that Mazda would accept on my lease return let me know - mine are to the wear bars. Or if you think I could get away with that from your experiences fill me in.
Cheers,
Neil.

If you need tires...
I'll be pulling four RE040s off my rims in a week when my new tires arrive.
Selling locally is good so maybe $200 for the set? The tires are noisy but still have tread. PM me if interested and I'll send pictures.
BTW, congrats on the car!

I should look at it that way - as before the 8 I had multiple Ford Taurus's and a Grand Caravan as company cars.
Now that it is structured at my new company as an allownace things are more flexible and the MS6 is certainly an entertaining company car.
Would be nice if it were a 6cyl with that grunt but other than that I can't fault the motor at all - even though I am having some rotary withdrawl symptoms.
Handling it's no 8 but thank God it is no Taurus - no offense Taurus drivers.

Too bad to lose an 8 driver. The MS6 is a nice car, but it doesn't really have the same sporting undertones I found when driving one.
Don't forget to crash a few meets still.

Congrats on the new car! I'm in love with mine, completely different than the 8 but fun in it's own rights. I'm also in love with how they are designed with the sporty bumpers, etc and looks great in white. Yea, I'm a groupie.
Which color did you get? 06 or 07? Post pics!

I went black on black. The white wasn't available for 2007. Glad to hear someone really enjoying it - I am still in the love it but feel the need to hop in the 8 and find a twisty road stage. It's just going to take some getting used to. The way 6th gear is set up is way better than the 8 so cruising on the highway feels much better.
But that 8 is part of my DNA now - going to be tough to forget.
