Really? $35 dyno at Scion speed.. I think I'll go!

I think DAI wheels are cheap enough alloys that people should consider if they're looking for winter rims as an alternative to steelies and you can have some good styles too.

So we don't need to bring a BBQ? What about food? Will that be looked after also? If not, we should figure out who's bringing what.

yep its stock. 75 000km on this engine, car just rolled over to 161 000km doubt mazda will pay for it this time around. I’m just glad i have the means to fix it. i really feel for all those guys that don't have access to a shop or a family member that’s a competent mechanic and end up spending more repairing it than the cars worth. Still feelings a bit numb thu.

As much as I hate to say it, I think I'm out for this event! =( Some stuff came up, and probably going to be in Kingston for this weekend, so I highly doubt I'd be able to come. Hope you guys have fun on the track though! Darn, a cruise up to the track with this many RXs would've been a great sight!

I would volunteer, but the last time I got my GF to wake up early for a track day, she ended up sleeping in to the point where she didn't notice I got out of bed and was at the track.
8am on the weekend for her translates to 12pm.

Sorry...

Ok ..
I just called Al and left a message that I would be there at 8am, assuming I find the place.

Does someone have a google maps link?
I'm having a bitch of a time finding it, even when I use the directions provided on the MOSPORT website

edit: Forget it .. found it .... Thanks ... will post link for posterity

Since this is no longer just a RX-7/RX-8 event, I'd highly recommend everyone leaving their DSC on this time around. Speed differential might become an issue in the corners. If you suddenly have to lift and brake at corner 2 with DSC off, you've just bought yourself a new RX-8.

Also note, this is a "parade lap". Meaning we're not going to hit any sort of ALMS speeds when we're on the track.
As long as you keep a respectable distance and keep the pace up, everything will go smoothly.

No need to turn off DSC since it won't involve "risk taking" maneuvers.

There's no real way of knowing who's been on a track and who hasn't. Just remember you arrived in your ride, you'll like to leave in it.

The DSC will come in handy if you need to do any type of accident avoidance maneuver. Last year we had a couple of those at 5c, ahem..

Pay attention to the corner stations for yellow flags. Corner 5 is blind, you absolutely cannot tell if somebody has stopped in the middle of 5 until it's too late.
