I'm seriously thinking about it. If my plans fall through for the weekend I'll be going.
I guess though I'd have to do the driving school as I've never done lapping with Kensai before.
I've done the Ian Law school on the DDT track, and also a couple of lapping days there. I also did the "slow" laps we all did earlier in the year on the mosport big track.
But from what the OP said it would look like I'd have to do the school anyway, is this right?

Well.. Mosport DDT is totally different compare to the full track, I'd recommend you to do the driving school anyway just because you get to learn a lot more about the track and racing overall... Aaron is a great driver/ instructor.
I'm trying to get my car ready for the day, if anything I might go a bit later... big party on sunday night and gotta stay sober on the track!! lol

I'd love to go again, but might wait till the September Event - Budget only allows so much fun.
Mosport was really easy on tires and brakes. I went on the track with tires that had maybe 1000km - full tread - squealed like a stuck pig in the corners, but there was no indication of chunking or rolling over too far. Varied the pressures a bit - couldn't really tell much difference - running 245/40 18 on an 8.5" wheel - RE050A PP. Measured about 0.01" treadwear over 250km or so on track. Of course I'm not lapping under 1:40 either.
We had I think 4 8's out last time. The day is well organized. Well worth the money.
Go to the school if you haven't before.
Some very nice cars out there last time - 997 GT3 RS being one of them - and that Rockstar decaled car is pretty cool too. I think the stickers slow him down though

I did a Dyno run before and after the decals were put on the car and I lost about 7.843 WHP!!
Not so secret as the Honduh crowd discovered this long ago. In an attempt to revert the effects, they started putting the decals on in reverse.
Don't know what the results were though - I think the cars got louder though.
HAHAHAHAHA... well I guess I won't see you on Monday then Rotator...
I'm still considering tho, funds' been kinda tight lately.. just got my girl the ring and we bought another new car.. getting rid of the G35... cuz the sound has been stuck in our heads since you talked about it last time!! lol

Rockstar - Congrats on the ring - anyone that can sit in the car with you driving has gotta be a keeper!
Getting rid of the Cow? I really do like the looks of the G35. What are you considering replacing it with? Lots of nice cars out there now - the 335i coupe is pretty sweet - especially with the Vishnu tuned ECU - Here is a forum post on some results
Over 380whp, 12.4 1/4 mile, 4.3s 0-60? Ridiculous - put some nice suspension in that thing and why would you need the M3?
IF you go to Mosport - Get some good pics and vids.

Yupp I'll def. get some pix and vids... well we bought a brand new CX-7.. great deal, and figured eventually we need a bigger car so might as well get it now... True Zoom Zoom family!! lol
I think by the time my lease is up with the 8 I might consider the Bimmers.. always has been my dream car but still gotta see if I can afford it then!!

Rockstar,
How was the event? Any more cars loose the battle with the concrete walls?
Biggest problem with bimmers is the cost of ownership is quite high with their parts and service, although if you go with one of their all-inclusive lease deals not really a concern.
At 3600lbs the 335i is no lightweight either.
It would be great to take the 8 and add reliable track worthy FI to get a real 250-300whp.
Post some pics.

The car was running really great yesterday, unfortunately I didnt take a lota pix but had 3 video clips which I'll upload later on today.
It was great to be racing with Kensai's ST#74 RSX on the same track, Kensai brought the car there to do some testing with a new driver... You can see the difference with a light weight car can do...

Looking forward to seeing them.
I almost went but events conspired against me. Had a chat with Aaron and I'll definitely be going to the next one, I think it's on in September (maybe the 3rd not sure).
Ya it's September 1st... but Kensai day is always good.. that was a car spun out at corner 4 right in front of me and we caught it on tape... the only thing u could hear from the clip was me screaming OH SHITTTTT lol
