ON More Track Time at Shannonville!!

As Al mentioned yesterday, if we want to do more tracking as a club like we did yesterday we should come up with some dates before everything gets book up. So post up what will work for you, time, duration etc.

From yesterdays experience 10, 11 cars seems perfect for the track.

Al (being as nice to our club as he is) mentioned that he would do some instructing, himself and one or two other guys he knows. 30 min intervals for each person, more advance and intermediate/beginner. Personally I think this would be awesome!! Thx Al!

We should get some dates and then post individual threads for people to sign up to each one. This is more of a starter thread to gather those dates. But time is kinda of the essence.

I will start this by saying - Either once a month for a 4 hour interval, or twice a month at two hours intervals. 4 hour intervals would end up being cheaper since less travel time. It's far enough. For 10 of us it was $70 each for 2 hours. Fridays seem like a good day to do it, since by the time we get home it's kinda late.

Post up your thoughts and lets do some more lapping!!

Edit - Thinking the first Friday of each month. Example June 5th, July 3rd, August 7th, September 4th and maybe October 2nd.

damn you mark. whats up with the rx8club and costing me a freakin fortune!?!?! once a month at 4hrs would be great...but that would mean i'd need to take the whole day off work which might be tough but maybe not. fridays are often slow anyways. once a month is out of my range for being affordable...although im seriously addicted even though im slow as malases in winter. haha. maybe i can hock my guitar....hmm....that might pay for gas for one or two lapping days....then my PS3, theres gas for the trip up at least....oh and i can stop going to tim hortons every monring. **** the project rx7 too. lol.

so i guess thats my vote. once/moth for a 4hr session.

LOL...I know, but you love it. You don't have to sign up for all of them, do one every two months if you want. From what I remember I believe Al said we can go till like 9:30 at the latest, so that means same start time 5:30 so it would only be half a day you would need off work.

Hey Guys, for me, 2 hours, one a month is fine but could go for 4 hours too -- more rest time Possible compromise: 3 hours?

I'm in!!!! The only reason i missed Fridays round of fun at Shannonville was because i had promised to help my brother move. Now i have a sore back, and no track time at Shannonville!!

Definitely count me in. If Al is willing to give a small group individual instruction that would be amazing!!! I've got firsthand experience on having a skilled track driver sitting beside you for a few laps, it makes a world of difference.

Thumbs up for Al on this one

Cool...What ya think...try for first friday of each month?

**Thunder - when we create the thread for the first one we can take a poll as to how many hours 3 or 4 and see what ppl want.

Once a month might be pushing it... I'd be up for a 4 hour block.. I'm in the same boat as Greg... I'll most likely have to give up eating entirely for 2 weeks outta the month so I can go... but.. whatever.. I'm a fat puk anyways and could use a diet

hrmm... new science experiment.. lets see how long someone post-college / university can last on Mr. Noodles (well.. Korean equiv) before:

a) randomly tossing cookies everywhere
b) crazed fits of swearing (well... that already happens now but.....)
c) collapses from malnutrition
d) fits of rage mostly targeted toward civic and crapolla's drivers
e) all of the above

LOL...the rage would be more from quitting smoking. Do that and you will have tons of cash for lapping.

I will make a new thread for sign up for June 5th. I have emailed Al to see if he can check with Shannonville if that date is available.

How about for every 2 shannonville book 1 mosport :P

Just wondering how CHEAP we can rent mosport? I know its expensive but I think they won't mind an extra buck or two in these times?

If you wanna do DDT just go with Touge, but Al hates DDT. Its like a Go Kart track, also hard on the car. Would be nice to truy it once thou.

Why don't we head up to Calabogie on Canada Day or something???

#1 Grand Prix track at Mosport is $10,000 + per day! #2 DDT track is barely wide enough for 2 cars to go side by side, and I think the track sucks in a car, fun in a go-kart.
