Where are we meeting?

 

Not sure what the plan is, no one seems to have a handle on it. So, i am going to follow Maitre's proposed route. I will be at the starbucks south of langstaff on 27 at 9:00 am, will be heading out around 9:30 along the planned route. See you all, or no one, there!

 

Yes that would work fine as well. (Advantage being it is directly on the route from 427 to the park.) We're getting fragmented votes here, so let's just settle on that, since it's so convenient. Any objections? TOO LATE!

Here's how you get there: from 401 westbound, take the 409 bypass over to 427 North; from 401 east, you can just get right on the 427 north. Get off at hwy7 and make a left; The Gore rd is the next right, but keep going and drive to the end of the massive sprawling suburban sprawl of a plaza, the Tim's is at the western-most end. (I guess we should try to park on the side that's more visible from the entrance ...)

 

Alright guys, for the RX-7 Club, we are meeting up at Hw9 and Airport Road (North West Corner) that Tim Hortons at 10:45am - 11:00am, then we will roll into the park. Its just besides the park. If there is no plan for the RX-8 club, you guys are welcome to join us...... I always wish the 7s and 8s can park together~

Bahh hell, I didn't see the last few posts. And the FB threads are a bit more solid on the Langstaff route, so I'm going back to that pitch! Ignore the above, see you guys at hwy27 / Langstaff Starbucks.

 

Good to see many 8s today, even I didn't drive a 8 out today.... great day, but disappointed on the classes, somehow.

So how was it guys?

 

The event overall was pretty good, mostly laid back chillin' with some BBQ. The focus really wasn't on the cars - I didn't get around to voting until they announced that they'd be counting the polls in 10 minutes. To that end, I only bothered to take photos of the rotaries. Didn't even think to get a good group shot of the entire lot. (It was all Mazda3's though, who cares right?

Mike didn't win any awards! Not even best female ride, and we tried to rig that one! :P Seriously though the awards were a joke, even the raffle was a bit disorganized. Nevertheless, TM3 deserves some credit for their efforts, it was definitely a fun time for what it cost.

 

I didn't like the fact that they combined the Best RX-7 and Runner up RX-7 with the Best RX-8 and Runner up RX-8, to best rotary and runner up rotary..... Secondly, no class for the Miata MX-5 at all. The Trillium Miata Club often host MoM event back in the days, its just so weird the MX-5, the MX-6, the MX-3 don't have their class, when there are these car signed up and showed up.
