Meet the RX8 Owners from Greece!
Just came back from my business trip in Europe. I was fortunate enough to meet 34 RX8 owners in Athens. A few pics are attached at a local meet.
I would just like to say that these guys/gals are 1st class people and were so great to meet. They were so kind to make arrangements to pick me up at my hotel, took me out to a bar and a very late dinner.
I only wish I'll have the opportunity to one day repay them for their kindness and hospitality.
There were 34 RX8's from various places in Greece that came to the meet. Many of these cars were modified with different body parts, rims, tires, intakes and exhausts. No turbos though, YET! Their meets are exactly the same as ours. Everyone is happy to hook up and take a lot of pride in their machine.
By the way, you will notice from one of the pics one of the guys trading in the RX8 for a Lotus Elise. He nevertheless is a main member of the RX8 club and one of the nicest guys I have every met. Many of the RX8 members brought their girlfreinds to the meet.
In short, Greek people are great and have a lot of class. They really know how to enjoy life. I had a great time.

Sham, welcome back! Great to see you had a great time. Sounds like you got taken away by the Greek hospitality. Those Guys / Gals would have givin you their '8 for the rest of your stay plus the shirts off their backs if you had asked thats how awsome they are over there. Where did you go, where did they take you? Hope you didn't party to hard:D Lovin the pics

I went to Greece in High School.....has a blast! I found a nice place to retire...the island of Hydra....cool place.
They sure had a nice turn out. I wonder how many times a year they meet?

That's a terrific turnout... didn't know there were so many 8 owners in Greece... And with girlfriends!! :D

, I was just wondering where to go this winter for my 2 weeks vacation away from Syria/Israel, it's just may be Greece ??Need to talk with you and Helas for some tips... :D

It's All Greek To Me !
Welcome Back Sham !! I'm off to Italy in November. For only 4 days. I tried to do what you did a couple of trips back, but it didn't happen. I'll tell those Italians I have a RED next time. We've got to put something together where there's a ton of us 8s. I couldn't believe that only 3 sweet 8s showed for a meet a couple of weeks ago. Anyway, I'll bring the Metaxa if you bring the souvlaki and chicks.

^in Italy there are very few 8s, especially north Italy, just for the record. Jap cars don't sell like they do in Greece ;-)
