Kafka, did your tune improve your fuel economy and/or power numbers? Do you have some numbers to back up?

My fuel economy goes down a little bit I think...from 370 to 350+ before 50L fuel light up...

Dyno...I don't have before (yeah its kinda stupid), I do have the basic tune at 174 vs the tuned one @ 178 max...while it got 1-2 less hp from 4-6k range and 1-2 more at 7-8k range in the dyno...

Not just about fuel economy and HP. With Cobb and tuning, engine seems smoother with no hesitations anywhere in the powerband...

OK guys I think we have more than enough people to get the ball rolling.

I've been looking at it and we can easily do this for cheap. For about $460 we can get Jeff a flight right into TO (well, Mississaugua) or if the date we settle on has bad prices we can do Buffalo for less and someone can go pick him up. Then hotel for a few days shouldn't be too bad. I expect a grand total of no more than $100 per person to split the travel costs (probably around $75-$80) which is less than last year!

Right now I am thinking July 10th or 17th. Jeff, do you want to comment on your availability?

Thanks all!

edit: updated first post with current info!

Your best deal is to buy it from Jeff @ www.mazdamaniac.com, this way you save $200 on the tuning.

Added 2 more people to the interest list.

I found a nice spot to dyno but it's a tad pricey, $150/hour (Dasilva Racing). I will keep looking but everyone please be ready to send me a deposit very soon for the dyno and Jeff's travel costs.

If anyone is interested in a dyno only (no tuning) please post your interest as well!

Wulf you wanna get to 200rwhp eh? :P

How much for tune/dyno only? I purchased the MM Cobb back in 2008 and got tuned...Just wondering if there are any new updated maps for the normal NA tune?

Thanks Jeff.

Kafka: I'm pretty sure once the midpipe is on and I get tuned I will be over 200, despite the back that I got rid of my exhaust. Should be over 210 once the BHR exhaust hits the market . Then again I don't really care much about the number, a well tuned ride is most important.

Tune can be purchased online from Jeff @ Mazdamaniac.com, look for the (MazdaManiac Custom Calibration ServiceŽ) at the bottom of the page.
EDIT: See post #1 -- Jeff is giving $100 off for this event!

I will have costs for you guys very very soon, probably today. I nailed down a great dyno spot and I'm working out the rest of the details with Jeff.
