01Racing

Okay so this is how it will work this year. I am assuming that only about 20-25 out of the 35 cars will actually show up lol. The 1st group will be people that I know have come out before and can keep up a resonable pace. In the past I didnt want to hurt anyones feelings about saying your to slow for this group, but since this could be the last one I am not taking any chances. When we register you at the track you will be given a run group color and that will tell you if your in the 1st or 2nd group.

It'll more than likely be the miata again. But if the weather plays nice, I might bring the FD out.

I think more than a few people are going to be upset that they're considered "slow". But it gives the rest of us some actual track pace as opposed to being held up by someone "slow".

I'm perfectly fine to be in the 'slow' group...no pressure...its NOT a time attack. Just out to have a good time, learn the lines and do it at a good cause!

Perfectly fine being in the slow group. Never been to Mosport before and I'll be running non R compound tires so I have no problem not pushing myself to keep up with the turbo FD's.

I was stuck behind the RX-4 last year, and stuck behind an RX-8 with bald tires the year before lol. Would be nice to give the R3 a decent run (but I'd gladly let the CASC guys and Turbo FD's take pole position :P)

Al: my buddy in the Genesis will be in the novice group as he has no prior track experience.

01Racing

Okay so this will be the protocol for our lapping. You MUST be at registration between 9:45am and 10:30am on Sunday to sign in and get your wristband/windshield sticker. Anyone not there by 10:30 will not be able to register, in past years we had people trying to register as we were going out on the track! We will meet at 11:30 at a predetermined area ( I havent been up to CTMP yet this year lol) and then we will form into our 2 groups. BEMC is always gracious enough to let us grid the same as the race cars do, so right after group 1 leaves the pits group 2 will then grid.

There is absolutely no passing, no hanging back and trying to get a run on everyone etc. The pace car will go as fast as the last car in the group can keep up. We will have the regular BEMC pace car at the back of the field and keep in radio communication between the lead and rear car. Group 1 will consist of the people who have done this before or have track experience, group 2 will be the newbies or people who wish for a slower pace.
