Looking for some help in Toronto please!

Hey. Just moved here, but got my RX8 shipped on Searail.

I'm living downtown, but need to know how to get out to Concord via Go transit? Or more exactly, I need to get here:

551 Creditstone Road, South Gate
Concord, ON, L4K 1L8

That's where the CN parking compound is.

Looking for exact instructions (I play football without a helmet sometimes J/K), like where to catch the GO bus, which bus, how long the ride is, and where to get off the bus.

Thanks for any help!

Hey,

Well, we need to know where you're coming from downtown? Are you close to Union Station? Do you want to take TTC to Finch and then hop on the Go Bus??

There are multiple ways of getting out to Concord. When I worked downtown I use to take TTC subway all the way to Finch. Hop on the Richmond Hill bus (I think it was bus B) and head north. In your case you would have to get off at hwy7 and then catch the Viva bus heading West.
You pass Keele St. and Creditstone is the next major intersection before hitting Jane St.

You walk a bit north on Creditstone and you hit the pound.

I see it all the time. Lots of cars just waiting for owners!

Worse case scenerio, you could ask 1 of the guys for a lift from downtown. Or meet someone mid way so you can get your ride.

Lots of ways to get to the compound...

Wait, Searail didn't ship the car to where you're living? Future tip - even if you live downtown - find someone who will sign for the car and get the company to drop it off for you. It's infinitely better than having to schlep it out to the suburbs to get your car.

Since when is Concord considered the suburbs??? lol

Yep, Union station is the main hub for all transit. But there's still no 1 bus/train/subway that will get you to where you want to go.
You'll end up taking a bus all the way north till you hit hwy7. Then you'll have to get off that bus and onto a Viva bus heading west to get to your destination... That's public transit for you...

Good thing is you'll be picking up your ride... so you'll have all the mobility in the world afterwords....

As suggested before, if you want to get 1 of us to help you out that shouldn't be a problem. Meet you half way... take the bus north to hwy7 and I'm sure 1 of us could pick you up to take you to the pound... Just ask...

Whoa. Feelin' the love ... thanks for the offer guys!

I'd like to try and find my own way there. Even though I hate public transit, I guess it'd be a learning experience.

But thanks a lot for the offers for rides out there! Much appreciated!!!

So assuming my start point is Union Station, I can see the Finch station on the TTC subway, but when I get there, what bus do I take?

Thanks again!

Alright, so Union Station to Finch via TTC. At Finch you head over to the bus stop and ask for a ticket to Richmond Hill. Last time I took that bus (which was a few years ago) it was called the "B" bus. When you're at the bus stop, there are little letters along with the towns the buses visit. So after hunting down the "B" line, make sure you don't get on the "express" version! That sucker won't stop till you hit Aurora!
You get on the normal "B" bus. You take it north, till You notice hwy 7. It looks alot like a major highway at this point. You'll also notice the big Silvercity movie theatre. If you keep looking towards the East you'll see the Viva bus terminal. Find your way there and take a Viva bus that'll run all the way till Jane St. at least.
Your stop is just before Jane St. and just after Keele.
I'm pretty sure there's a stop right at the Credit Stone intersection but don't quote me on it.
You walk a bit North and you'll find the pound on your right (East). Can't miss it...

thanks again for the instructions Neo! finally got to pick up my car.

on the off chance anyone needs the instructions, i had to ask at the Finch subway station cuz there is no "B" line anymore.

1. Take the subway all the way to the last stop north to Finch.
2. head above ground and buy a ticket for the York Region Bus - and hop on the "77" bus - it'll take you right to Creditstone Road. It's about a 20 minute bus ride before you cross over some railroad tracks and a bridge. Get off RIGHT after the bridge.
3. Walk north - i.e. don't hafta cross the street for about a minute and you'll see a huge car lot with your car in it....hopefully.

anyways, thanks again for all that helped. Much appreciated!

So if you see a blue RX with BC plates and a skinny asian guy driving, that's me!

Maybe I'm being paranoid, but lots of people are staring at me...a skinny asian guy from the west coast is no different than a skinny asian in the east :P

Damn! It's been forever since I've taken the bus... Now they have a direct trip to Creditstone... that's convienent... at least you didn't have to get off and take another bus.

This is true, all asian kids look the same... it's probably just the car.
