Anybody get work done at Mazda Gabriel, West Island 2-20 or the one in Laval north of Chomedy?

I can try any of them for my next oil change and *Flash upgrade*

Thanks!

I called 2-20 at Ile Perrot and they had no ideas about it, same for St-Constant Mazda.

I guess I'll take a trip to Valleyfield to get the flash.

GO HABS GO for tonight.

Simon.

Yes, it's somewhat smoother at high rev, but the way people described it in other thread, I was expecting way more! I’m getting close to 200km (best so far) with half a tank, while driving like a nanny!!!

200km WOW!

The best I got so far is 180km with tsc/dsc off.

Does TSC/DSC really make a difference?

Yes, it used to be about 150km half a tank. Since I started to disable the tsc/dsc I get 180km. I got used now to disable it everything I start the car.

No problem getting mine reflashed in St. John's ... although they did use the "30.8" nomenclature instead of "M". I did have to remind them to do it when the car was in for the damper recall.

The TSC/DSC affects fuel efficiency? How does that make sense for "normal" city driving when DSC is not activated (i.e., no slippage to compensate for)?

MadJoker, how's the service at Mazda Valleyfield?

I thinking to go there next week for a oil change + the flash.

Try Mazda gabriel - they have a very experienced mechanic who works on all the 8's. They should also give you the flash without problems, just complain about it not running right or hesitating.

Personally I was happier before the flash, my car feels more linear now, but definately slower (better gasmileage though).

my .02 !

If anyone is still looking for a good Mazda dealer in the Montrea/South Shore area, there's Mazda Brossard on Boul Taschereau. They seem to know about the car, about the TSB, recalls etc...

I got my ECU reflashed to a N version. They even gave me the whole serial # for the reflash. It's exactly like the one mentionned in the TSB. I had to pay 42$ for hook the car to the computer (CEL was on) but the reflash is under warranty.
Im aslo getting the engine mounts replaced under warranty. They also told me that there was a new recall that applies to my car (forgot about what).

Like every Mazda dealer though, they're expensive $$$$ ! No way to get out of there without paying minimum 200$ whatever the issue. They proposed to replace my tail light for 250$ plus another 150$ to install it since it was full of water and condensation (got it for 60$ on ebay and installed it myself). A/C is 350$ + 150$ insallation ... 1x Coil + 1x Spark Plug = 250$ got it for 60$ from mazdatrix.com (beware of customs/brokage fees $$)

Hope this helps
