The problem with meets at malls and shopping centres is that these are private properties and as such, at the owners/management/security's discretion, they can bar anyone anytime for anything such as loitering in the mall or in the parking lot or sometimes based on nothing more than looks (personal appearance or car mods). This can't happen in public spaces unless you cause a problem.
Unfortunately, it only takes a small minority's actions to spoil it for the rest.

 

It's too bad, we had picked out a nice quiet spot in an area otherwise overrun wiht hooligans. But arguably it was only a matter of time. It'd be cool if we could be overlooked in this sort of situation, but we know others would try to ride our coat tails, we just look too damn good.

 

I think if we keep it to a friday evening/night we should be good,just as long as the other rifraf (honda/ricer owners) don't show up

 

Some of us meet regularly up at woodbine and 16th on Fri/Sat

 

Me and two other FDs went to KC on May 13 (Wednesday), and seems fine, didn't see cops or anything. Maybe too crowded. There were many ricers there, reving engine and crap though. I stayed for 40 mins, then left.

I thought the woodbine and 16th scene died down. Guess I was wrong. If the weather holds I might drop by.

Midland and McNicoll should be a new meet point. On the south side of the Rona parking lot, but not on the Rona side, on the south side of that right outside Green Grotto. There you have access to Korean BBQ, asian drinks, Popeyes fried chicken, and a Starbucks. Very healthy choice options...

Oh yeah, did I mention, there is a 24 hour chinese noodle house in that plaza?

That should be the new scarborough meet location, it will also inch closer towards the north/Markham/Richmond Hill people enticing a slightly larger meet.
