I'm moving to Windsor

Next week!

Pros: Closer to Indianapolis, Mid-Ohio, and Road America

Cons: Farther from Mosport; it's flat!

Anyone else here from Windsor? Dealer/indie mechanic recommendations? Anyone know any good driving routes down there?

Careful driving through Chatham. My friend lives in Windsor and she says the cops there will have no problems ticketing you. Her bf got a ticket for going 110 on the 401.

That's exactly what my real estate agent told me. 110 WTF? At least it is flat and straight so you can spot the heat a mile away.

I live in Windsor (except for the summer): There are no pros, unless you are going to school in which case Windsor is not bad as you will not be distracted.
Mid Ohio is nice but u can't compare it to Mosport. There are 3 tracks in Detroit within 2.5 hours range.
There is just one Mazda dealer in Windsor and they are decent.
I know one independent Joe at J&J auto on Walker RD (519) 966-8813 have used him for oil changes and brake fluid.
I am in Toronto until Mid August, good luck with the move.

1) Real estate is quite cheap.
2) You are close to Detroit sports teams (if you care, I personally don't)
3) There is a good kart track 45min away.

Out of curiosity what do you teach?

Yeah we scored a very sweet house compared to what we could have got here in Kingston. I've also been to several very good restaurants there (La Zingara, Wah Court, Mini Restaurant). I'm thinking of ditching the Leafs at long last...and we have Tigers/Jays tix at Comerica in August.

I teach biochemistry (note the X-ray diffraction pattern of DNA in my avatar).

You will probably like Windsor it has a great waterfront, good kayaking, Kildare's Pub and Walkerville Brewery.
Chatham's not so bad either.
Banks Mazda, just outside of Chatham, is probably a little far for you to come but it is an excellent dealership.
Welcome to the area.
