TORONTO...I Got My RX8

I went to see it today. I test drove it and it felt like I was in a dream.

I can't wait till monday when i pick it up.

The center caps are on the car right now. In these pictures they're not.

As for the test drive ....

The car is quiet and quick. Sounds amazing when you hit the higher RPM's.

LOTS OF ROOM.

I can't believe how much room is avalible in this car. I will post more pictures later when it's all waxed up and ready to drive.

I'll post a more accurate review when I take it for a ride on monday.

Cheers

Pete

Sweet ride Pete! Congrats!

Got a call from my dealer today saying that mine isn't in but a Tit grey GT came in this morning with the Chaparal leather . I just went down there at lunch to finally see it up close (AutoShow doesn't really count). It looks fabulous even though it hasn't been cleaned up yet. Two of the girls from the dealership were fawning all over it. (Can you say Chick magnet?) I sat in it for the first time and was very impressed with the comfort level and room. The only thing that surprised me was the front seat didn't move forward very easily to allow access to the rear. I thought there would be a button or something but all we could do was slide the power seats forward and then back again. There must be an easier way...

Actually the rear doors didn't open as much as I had thought. So with the driver seat back to a comfortable position, there was no getting in the back without sliding that front seat forward first...
Once you're back there it's very comfortable though, actually the best back seats I've ever sat in. They're form fitting and very sporty. You just know people will stay firmly planted back there in spirited driving. Interestingly I didn't find it that claustrophobic back there. I mean the windows aren't huge but you can still see out just fine IMO.

When I was test driving the car i adjusted the seat to my height ( 6"1 ). I usually like a bit of room so I moved the seat further back

I wanted to check out the room in the back seats after i got out.
I didn't adjust the front seat at all and I still had about half a foot distence from my knee to the back of the front seat.

I thought it was really easy to get in and out.

Congrats Pete. Looks like all of our cars are coming in at the same time. How did you like the Yellow?

My accessories are all on now. We will be picking it up in the morning after the dealership cleans her up. From there, my wife and I are taking her somewhere out there for the weekend. Who cares where we go. The NAV will take us back home after our venture.

Hey Pete,is that prima mazda in woodbridge.I was there about 5 0 clock. The receptionist said i was allowed to look at it in the garage. As soon as i got about 10 feet from it,the salesman said i cant go because the owner requested that no one touch it which i respected. He says he is one of your best friends and he couldnt let me get closer so i was cool.I was wearing all white with a bandana,he knows who i am.He was trying to scare me about my contract that i signed in feb, something about 90 days and its no good.My order is at Avante Mazda and they assured me my RED 8 is on its way really soon. Then another sales dude wanted me to order one{prima]and he could have it for me next week but for the right price(over msrp by $2000).Whatever dude.
Anyways i dont want anyone touching my 8 also so i did not bother your friend to get closer to yours.Looks even better in person you lucky F--K. Cool color.Any accecories to add by the way????

I thought the yellow looked much better in person. Great looking colour for the car.

This calls for an RX8 meet.

Hahahah ... yeah.... danny's doing a good job as a personal body guard for my car. I didn't request nobody to touch it. He's just being really protective because we've worked hard to get that car. He doesn't want anything to happen to it. Regarding accessories. The only thing i like are the Front a Rear Crests ....

Thats about it.

I really liked the colour of the car in person. I thought it would be a faded yellow, but insted that colour looks great on that car. I would perfer Red, but we all know how hard it is to get our hands on one of these cars, so I couldn't be so picky.
