How much did you pay for your RX8? Vancouver // Dealership?
Hey guys,
I'm currently driving a 2002 mazda Protege 5 with my eyes steadily fastened on the RX8. After sitting in my friends RX for a test drive I think it's long overdue for a performance upgrade. I'm curious to know what you paid and whether or not you leased or purchased. Did you get anything extra added? Also what dealership hooked you up I like the lease idea because i use low km per year, love upgrading every 3 years and like the idea of having everything under warranty.
All help greatly appreciated..
Thanks guys.....
Alex

Alex, you don't like the search button eh? There have been a couple of threads here in our Canada forum with the prices that members have been getting. I believe a few months back there was also a thread on BC prices
I realize you are in Vancouver but people all over Canada are getting roughly the same prices (+/- PST). For your reference, us Albertan's have been getting it for roughly 40K (including taxes, freight, etc) for a manual GT no roof.
Here's a link with my invoice incase you're a non-believer

I personally purchased the 8 and got a pretty good finance rate (2.5% I think)

Thanks,
I love the search button...just didn't bother with it All the excitement I guess. I'll try that now but still hope for some friendly advice from fellow Vancouverites. :D

Hey Alex M,
Try Metrotown Mazda in Burnaby. They're small compared to the one in the Richmond Automall, but good people there. I didn't get a big discount as I bought their ONLY Special Edition (otherwise known as the Shinka, in the US). I got 1.5k off their list price. I think I was lucky to get anything off at all. If I had bought the regular MT6 GT as I had originally planned, I would estimate getting at least 2.5k off their sticker price. So for the GT, that would be around $42.6k including GST/PST/PDI (That's pretty much the Calgary guy's price with PST on top...)
Also, if I were you, I'd try to get the all-weather mats (you know Vancouver weather) and trunk tray included or discounted whichever dealership you do end up at. Good luck shopping for your RX-8! You won't regret this purchase
