Talking Head Light Washers

Wondering if anyone has looked into what would be involved in replacing the stock 'Canadian' head light washers with laser beams or 20 mm guns?

Sorry , wouldn't fit under the surface to air missiles already installed, and even in the smallest chance it would fit, wouldn't see the need to have that with those miniguns in the fog lights....

hmmm gives me an idea..... what if I invert the nozzles to spray forward? and then put gasoline in my washer fluid tank? and have a remote spark ignitor in front of the nozzles? :D
ah yes.... the delirium that can only come with studying in a room for 4 days and not touching my 8....

Am I missing something here? What exactly are these headlight cleaners that supposedly come standard with the car?.

I don't see anything that remotely resembles a headlight cleaner!

Of course we'd have to take the impact on HP into account.

You're kidding me.. All this time I thought it was some cheapo plastic cover for adding optional wipers (or something).

Cool.

Ok, I went to examine the flaps more closely. How does the thing work?? Seriously, it looks like cheap plastic covers. Does it open up or something?

They open up and spray automatically on the fifth interval of activating the washer fluid for the front windows. Or if you press the washer fluid twice fast they will spray.

If you want to see how they work just pull one out.

Okay so explain this to me like I'm a 5 year old...or a noob

Something pops up and spews water at the headlight and it goes back down under that plastic tab y'all have under the headlight built in the bumper? Does something actually 'wipe' the lens or it just oozes water and stops?? Is that effective?? I'm perplexed.

That's pretty much it. The spray can get on the hood too.

It doesn't ooze - it's a high pressure spray. It's effective just like using a high pressure spray car wash gets the dirt off your car.

Enzolor - maybe you should read your owners manual to learn about operating the equipment that came on your car? Who knows, you may discover lots more stuff that you didn't know about! :D

Regards,
Gordon

Heh, I thought it was an option. Didn't realize anybody would want or need a sprayer.

Kinda sucks.. I'd rather have the Tire pressure monitor instead.

Good! Because I want my cookie!

I was actually impressed because the first day I had the car the dealer's Tech spent 5 minutes explaining to me how the things couldn't be disabled and proceeded to put about 1L of washer fluid over the front of my car.

The next day I tracked down the fuse and haven't thought about them since.

Search and destroy! Remind me not to **** you off!

You can grab the rombic (it's a skewed square - a rombic) and pull it straight out to see the nossles (and clean in there).

I'd much rather have a highpressure spray than wipers (like in the old benzs, and the new ones uses the highpressure sprays like we do) cause the wipers tend to scratch the lens and with the kinda curves the 8's lens have it's hard to have a wiper that could wipe it effectively
