Actually the bumper has been off since January. For some reason the paint was turning hazy so it's being repainted under warranty. My stock bumper is new too. Somebody hit my car in a parking lot so my front end is new and repainted.

Nope. I think it looks fine with just the front. I'm not going to spend more money on looks.

hrmmm.. interesting.. so it's a pretty split vote at this point. I would say that we could do a bit of everything but that could take forever. Maybe break up into acouple of different groups.. the dudes who wanna mod get together EARLY in the day and start installing.. the detailing folks meet up else where and scrub the crap out of their cars.. then finally we ALL meet up somewhere for a coffee in the afternoon and go for a cruise too cap the day off.

It's either that or we take an entire weekend.. mod on the sat.. then detail / cruise on the sunday.

haha... just take over one of those self car wash places.. 8 - 10 bays full of 8's... they normally have a parking lot where you can finish detailing the car..

getting closer. so whats the plan? if the cruise is happening, anyone volunteering to plan it? Also, if we are doing a cruise again and there is gonna be a bigish turn out anyone up for walkie talkies this time around? would go a long way to eliminating the only thing that went wrong last year (with the exception of the pre cruise accident and the FD giving up the ghost). i figure we only need about 4 walkies to keep everyone together easily. they come in sets of two usually. that doesnt really matter, im just throwing it out there. cell phones are so slow and clumbsy while driving. the walkies are quick and direct and then you dont have to call a few people to get the whole group on the same track.

Here's a thought in case there is some interest, Jay and I are planning to pick up/have installed new rims and tires on the US side of Niagara Falls, close to the Casino. Maybe we can cruise to the 24 hour install shop, admire the new rims, stop in the Casino for a hand or two and then maybe go to the Canadian side for a bit? Would like to do early April. Anyone interested in making a cruise of it?

BTW, save a lot of money installing tires across the border

Not to bring this up again (I was on vacation and missed this thread), you are giving up your MS CAI for a OEM 1 for 1 trade? You're crazy lol!

welp... it looks like the cruisers have it at this point. We can do the niagara trip if everyone's interested. Would be a decent driving and we could pick up a few of the folks in the Hamilton region for the meet which would be kinda cool since we don't get to see them much.

By the way, I have a bonus offer for three 3 lucky cruisers...

If you can put one of my winter tires in your trunk (a spare if you are asked , for the ride back across the border and back to Oakville, I will pay $25 for your valued assistance... and a home theater demo if you're interested

I'm definitly interested in coming out, but I don't really have a preference on what we do. I've only had my 8 for 6 days, and I'm not really in a position to mod it quite yet.

haha, im game for that. it might look sort of obvious with everyone having the same tire...but at the same time, just say we all throw in one of someones winter tires in our trunks as a spare at the last minute. we were talking about this when we got jays car running, i doubt there will be any issue anyways. as long as we have a hole bunch of 8s, its obvious we are going for a cruise and not some huge drug run or something in such a space challenged car. just make sure to dirty up your new wheels and it'll be smooth sailing. if we are crossing the border we should see if any US rx8club memebrs wanna meet up on their side.
