Good. I don't miss paying for gas ;)

Footman 12-02-2008 02:45 PM

Jay, is this thread fail? has it been ordered as told by you earlier?

Footman 12-03-2008 06:07 PM

Looks like another fail group buy...

prospectjtaz 12-03-2008 06:13 PM

It's not fail dude, you have your buyers and interest, I have been swamped with other parts of my life, I'll have this figures tonight, promise.

Footman 12-03-2008 06:29 PM

York is on strike for 3 weeks. If you are swamped now, how did you handle it before when there was school?

Neo 12-04-2008 06:53 AM

As I mentioned before, Pros is the busiest brown dude I know.
I doubt I'll be able to make the deadline anyways. I'm out of cash. What little I have I have to spend on Xmas shopping. I guess I'll order the lights myself.

I would like to pickup my ebrake handle though. That'll be nice. :)

prospectjtaz 12-04-2008 08:39 AM

Are you serious...

Honestly I read this comment last night, and I figured I let it go over my head, but now not so.

Seriously you think just because I am still a student only academics are governing my life. Feel free to conduct a naturalistic observation of a week in my life, if you can`t understand why people sometimes get swamped.

Yes the academic side of York is still on strike, but the adminstration and research facilities are still up and running. And guess who employs me, the research side. On top of that I`m also employed by a retail company, not to mention I`m studying for the GREs, and what extra time I do have I spend it at Sick Kids trying to make life little easier especially during this season. I was actually managing all of that before the strike. AND now I`m prepping for the alleged street racing trail myself and Thief are facing. Also issues came up in the other social circles I have outside of this club.

Seriously if your in such a rush to get these, get them yourselves. I set this up so you can put in your valid opinions and help people choose the right leds, which I still thank you for. But the OP, myself got busy for a bit, then Kaffka went away, and now s*** apprently seems to have hit the fan regarding this street racing charge. I didn`t have to set this up, contact a US forum member and ask him if we could ship to his place first. Also I didn`t collect money from you for this stuff yet, basically didn`t pull a millcham on you. The only people I could see getting frustrated with me on this board are Neo and Thief, only because I owe Neo a handbrake (which has been hard coordinating to meet with) and Thief some cash.

Like I said I`ll wrap this thread up soon and get the stuff ordered for those still interested, but you gotta understand sometimes the unexpected props up. Like how my freaking clutch went out on me. I don`t have to organize these meets and these buys for the clubs and the Mazdaspeed parts (my guy still reports frozen prices on his behalf), but I do for the sake of the enjoyment I get from the car and its fellow enthusiasts.

But feel free to start your own thread and spearhead this, instead of spending a Sat writing up a pic by pic recipe on how to make an Asian Entree which you later intend on posting on your Facebook.

Kafka 12-04-2008 08:46 AM

Yo Jay calm down...its all good. My trip to HK blow a lot of my budget, and the fact that I am going to buy a condo soon really kills my available free money for now.

That said, I appreciate your effort and all the good stuff thats been done for the forum members.

Andrew, just back off a bit. You are a great contributing member of the forum too from all the posts you have helping fellow rx8 owners. I feel bad you being screwed by that faking guy too.

Just chill everyone...

and good luck on your case Jay.

Footman 12-04-2008 08:53 AM

I will allow this group buy to finish as to avoid confusion. Since you want to lay it on the table, I am going to have to say this to you:

I don't hate you. You're still a friend. I will still help you jump start your car or read your code or whatever. But in terms of organizing group buys, you're terribly inefficient and unorganized. After this group buy, I will not be involved in any group buys with you again simply because I know I can do it better and faster.

You can consult Agent008, Neo, and Sanguine to testify my works. I got screwed over by Millchan because I trusted that guy. In order to be more efficient and save time, instead of having two trips (guy meets to pay me, and guy meets to pick up the parts), I paid on behalf of him to make the group buy go faster so that he just needs to pay and pick up in one trip when the product arrives. Now the part has been sitting for over a month and repeated attempts at contacting him have failed. I've sold the part to 9291150 instead.

I understand it is not a DUTY, or you're being PAID to organize group buys. However, when one sets out to do anything, I value when people do what they say and not just words/air. The defense to this is not "hey I'm doing this as a favour to you, so it's justified that I can be lax and late about things". If you say you're going to do it... then do it, and do it well.

If you are doing the best darn job you can and there are delays in it. Offer an explanation voluntarily. Don't write up your explanation after I repeatedly have to ask for one about why things are taking so long. That is irresponsible. If you have had offered explanations and updates on why things are long, I wouldn't even be giving you lip about this group at all.

Thief 12-04-2008 09:06 AM

Guys chillax. I don't want to have to make a swordfighting joke here.

Neo 12-04-2008 09:17 AM

Ouch. Such crazy rants on the RX-8 forum. lol
You guys are lucky you don't have nazi's for forum administrators. Over at the RX-7 forum this thread would've been shut down 4-5 posts ago.

We're all under stress regarding the holiday seasons. A schedule was provided regarding group buys earlier in the year. Trying to keep to a schedule is a very difficult thing to do. Especially when unexpected things happen.

This being said, I do wonder why Pros doesn't answer calls/texts or offers a post on the forum regarding updates and all.
I figured it out now. If I don't get a response, the guy is busy and he'll contact you whenever he's got free time.
Some people are use to getting a response in a reasonable amount of time. But I guess it's a culture thing. Don't worry, I know alot of my friends who are brown have a hard time giving a response back. LOL :D:
This being said, Jay has tried to keep things under control, but you can never prepare for everything.

Yes, he's still got my ebrake handle, but it's not like he's going to get rid of it. He knows I need it, it's just timing and location meetings that's the problem.

Footman,
My girl is very impressed with the food you prepared. She spends alot of time on Facebook lately. So she appreciates all the little things. lol

Ok, so I know I can't spare any cash right now regarding the lights. As much as I would want to get the car all setup and done, I have to hold out for at least next month. After the Xmas rush I'll be alright to finally cough up some money.

One thing that's really interesting me right now, why is Eddie not driving the 8??
Also, Pros, what's going on with the whole street race charge?

baba_booey 12-04-2008 09:17 AM

LOL

Remind me never to get involved in one of these group buys.

I really just wanted to leave it at that post but then you go ahead and make refernces. Yes you did come and help me boost my battery twice, and obviously I'm grateful for that. But if your going to point to instance that will highlight and distinguish yourself in this thread, than ya, I could do the same. I didn't have to set up a second install meet at my house so help could be gathered to get your exhaust on, or drive over to your house and lug your exhaust into your car and place it in as your wanted. I also didn't have to point to the "justified cause" of your misfortune on that twisty road or contact my buyer and get you a single side marker. And I don't want to get pulled into the reasons why I ended up driving that part straight to Eurasia, I explained to you why that occured.

But in terms of organizing group buys, you're terribly inefficient and unorganized. You can consult Agent008, Neo, and Sanguine to testify my works.

Now I have to ask why you would even post this on the thread. Now you present the point to others, whether they be guests, lurkers or actual posting members that I can\t be depended on. And now your going to point at specific members that attest to your organization. Guess what this brown man can do that, if not trump that and point to a company. You saw how much effort I put in to get that RPM install meet going, setting up and posting in threads both on the 7 club and here. And those that attended can easily attest to the savings they got in installations/service/qaulity from RPM and the great meet it was to set off the season with. And I wasn\t dealing with a few individuals but a gathering, from individuals as far as Kingston to Georgetown. And if you want you can consult all those that attended the RPM meet, or even all three install meets. Like I said I didn't have to offer up my garage or my driveway or even my street for that meet. And neither did I complain having to clean up all the diff/tranny fluid that had been spilt that day, and that stuff reaks.

Like I said, I would have liked to leave it at that post but then you decide to pretty spew a tainted reputation of my own, thats why I posted this.

It's being stored. I don't want my Speed bumper to turn into a snowplow.
Street racing charge... trial is Dec 18. We're trying to get everything together for that day.

Footman 12-04-2008 09:23 AM

Then we are good now. You have defended your honor as I have done. :)

prospectjtaz 12-04-2008 09:25 AM

Thief consulted with Lawyer's Spirit, he wants lawyer fees in addition fees for a Professional Engineer to attend to the trail. Apprently the typed portion of the disclosure leaves out a few parts that were written by the officer. Essentially looking at 750 from myself and naother 750 from Thief.

Problem is the VW driver is hard to get in contact with, and its all three of us against the officer. So come trial date, all goes well, and case gets thrown out, myself and Thief are out 750 each, but not the VW driver.

Since we can't get in touch with him and also it\s not like I can stamp the Jesse James "Pay Up Sucka" tat on my palm to get him to fork over his due.

I'm still doing my own research, I have appointment at the Newmarket courthouse.

My dad also got a hold of his own lawyer for a quick consult.

Footman 12-04-2008 09:28 AM

That VW driver is pulling a millchan on you. I hate people like that.

Culturally I am usually late, even though I was born in Germany, guess the Yin and Yang couldn't find a median. Also updates are hard to do with the iPhone (no bashing the iPhone (iFail) Thief), but html browsing is smoother with the 2.2 update.

Yes, he's still got my ebrake handle, but it's not like he's going to get rid of it. He knows I need it, it's just timing and location meetings that's the problem.

Sorry buddy, your wrong. I was Whiskey's last week, just got back from watching Zack and Miri Make a Porno and strippers making the bubbles got me thinking, anywayz, few drinks and bubbly conversation led to a stripper named Mystique using your handbrake in a raise the one eye brow "The Rock" gaze, show.

Neo 12-04-2008 09:42 AM

Pros,
Why do you have to be like that?! What did I do to you? More importantly, what did the handbrake do to deserve such defiance. lol ;)

I found out almost all rotary owners can't tell time. They're always fashionably late, or horribly late. Very rare are we ever on time.

So it's going to cost a bit to go up against the whole street racing thing. Amazing how the government is cashing in on this. This was a stupid law to pass. I still don't know how it got passed in the first place. I thought these things needed to be voted on by the people?? Who's bright idea was it to do that?!?! Stupid government!!

Of course, and your still a friend. There's a reason I reference you when talking to others in my other social circles in regards to "not crying over split milk" when it comes to the surprises life brings us. Plus if I didn't like you, you wouldn't be invited to play PS3 anymore.

Footman 12-04-2008 09:57 AM

For sure.. .*shakes hands*...

prospectjtaz 12-04-2008 09:57 AM

Oh and anymore fail posts in this thread or others, I will post the pic I have of you photoshopped as Admiral of the Fleet of the Fail Boats, which would be in this case cloned images of the Titanic.
