Greets!

Hi everyone,

We have a new addition to our family, a black-on-black '05 RX8 GT 6-spd. The previous owner is a great guy and was sorry to see her go; we promised to look after her from now on. She's a beaut; really been enjoying the upgraded MS suspension

Hope you all don't mind, here's a pic of her first night in our garage after a long rainy drive back to London Ontario.

Cheers

That's a gorgeous lookin car, congrats on the new addition to your garage and happy motoring!
What did the previous owner upgrade on the suspension (did he do the spring/strut or the full coilover pack), and what are your impressions after driving her so far.

Congrats and welcome....you are going to love her even more if you start cruising this site. I had a 7 for 11 yrs and did nothing with it other than an upgrade stereo system. Now I'm alot older and I feel like a kid with a new toy ...

Thanks for all your welcomes. Actually, I had been in the market for an 8 for quite some time (my gift to myself after finishing medical residency) and absorbed a huge chunk of these forums before making my final decision.

As for mods, I lucked out and got one with the MS strut/spring/sways setup and a REVI intake already installed. I haven't made up my mind about a bodykit yet... I had a red wedge of an Integra that I cherished before moving on (*sniff* ) and that I always wanted to kit, but couldn't justify because of her age. Now with our new car I'm torn between fully skirted aggresiveness like this:

or clean sleekness like speeddemon32's:

Ironically, my wife is the one insisting we get a spoiler

I think for now I'll concentrate on redoing the stereo. I have some old laptops that I was going to graft into the car as a carPC-I.C.E. project. That will be fun. But I have to be restrained... my wife's Civic will need replacing soon too.

Cheers

Welcome to the club. Clean looking black 8 you got there. I also want the MS suspension, next summer though.

Hope to see you out at some meets.

Your cars look great. I just traded my VR for a new Stormy Blue with the same body parts as the BB pic, plus the OEM spoiler, like Omicron's https://www.rx8club.com/vbgarage.php?do=view&id=4719....I felt the JDM lip spoiler would look better, but everyone I asked said the OEM spoiler fit the look of the car better..so I relented.
