I'm scheduled to bring in my car for the
aribag recall and they are also going to flash my car to
the latest PCM calibration.

I'll keep everyone posted on which PCM flash
they do if I can read it or talk to the guy that is
doing the work on my car.

 

Hey, where are you getting this done? I've scheduled an appointment in Hamilton already. Not sure if they'll be getting the flash done, should i request that ahead of time?

 

Let me know how you make out at Mountain Mazda. I had my car in just before Easter for an oil change (brought it out of storage) and they did the dynamic damper recall. The airbag recall didn't show on their system yet for my car. A few days later though, I got the letter about the airbag. I haven't got anything about a reflash though. What's that all about?

 

Broose: I'm not going to Mountain Mazda (too far of a trip from Oshawa). There is a dealer close to my work I'm going to try. I already went there to check and make sure that they had the harness in stock and asked them if they have the latest (M) flash and all I got was the ol' .... Yeah, yeah, we keep are stuff up to date all the time and that they will do the flash no problem.

So tomorrow morning I just have to remind them not to wash the car (as it's spotless right now anyways) and cross my fingers!(that eveything goes well.) It shouldn't take too long so I'm going to wait for my car while it's being done.

About the reflash... Go to the tech section and check out the TSB sticky... All the TSB's are on the rosenthal Mazda website. THe lastest TSB regarding the flash is to have all the cars updated to the ".....M" flash regardless of hard starts or any concerns.
