Place: Woodbine and 16th Ave Timmies, travel to my place from there

Just wanted to get an idea of whos free next weekend for an install meet. The meet would be held at my place, my driveway or I might try and get a local garage, maybe the one from the prior meet or another for installs. Just would like a yes, no, maybe and what day is good for you guys. Also jot down any parts you might have that need to be installed, simple or large.

1. Prospectjtaz Yes Monday would be best, Can work with Saturday or Sunday.

O, also I reside in Markham, ON just to give you guys a heads up. Probably do the install meet at my place and head down to Main Street Markham or Unionville (awesome places) for meal and drinks at the local Frucken.

Scott I can help you out with all but the Clutch and Flywheel, that stuff is a little more tool intensive.

Do you have a complete set of pulleys or just the crank pulley? When I did mine I had a real bitch of a time with the Alternator pulley. Actually had to take it to a shop to get the nut off.

I have a track day sunday night.....Monday works for me. turbo...you can pick up the mazspot mod then aswell.......I guess I will have to find something else to install on my car though?

Awesome, thanks. To answer your question, I've just ordered the Agency Power Under driven Crank Pulley (Gecko recommendation).

MS exhaust to install that is all.

Tools required:
jack stands, wheel chocks (big rock will do)
torque wrench
WD40
socket set
industrial sheers or cutters (to cut exhaust tip plastic bumper part)

Weekend of May 24 is good.

What the heck are you talking about? What are the torque wrench and cutters for? You're going to cut your bumper?

Add a big screw driver in your list to pry at the hanger bushings.

Footman 05-12-2008 09:26 AM

The MS exhaust installation instructions call for 3 different torques on 3 sets of bolts. It also says to trim a 1" section off the inside portion of the exhaust tip bumper plastic.

qtwre 05-12-2008 10:18 AM

Instructions inshmuckshions. Torque settings = pretty damn tight with arm strength.

Pop out the plastic bumper pieces as the first thing you do, then uninstall the old one and put in the new one. I didn't have to cut anything with the greddy. Hopefully the MS is the same.

Gecko69 05-12-2008 10:34 AM

qtwre you are right....there really is no need to cut anything Andrew...and good luck getting a torque wrench under there......as tight as you can get them will do the trick.

Footman 05-12-2008 10:57 AM

I think the MS instructions want us to cut the 1" trim off the piece just in case it gets too hot and the plastic piece is too close, it will start melting the plastic. With the car up on a jack stands, can't I use a torque wrench?

Or perhaps a lift?
