Absolutetly, gotta have some fun in life and don't take everything so serious
cars are cars and we really do love our cars/trucks/boats/snowmobiles etc.
They always come and go but family is where it's at, make sure you love them more

Not sure whether a visual examination holds the same weight as an analysis performed in a lab but love your methodological approach. Great video.

Generally most people who premix put the premix in the tank then add gas like you said. Personal I will only use Redline, Pettit or Mazda recommended Idemitsu. Never heard of anyone using Amsoil Sabre Pro. In theory any 2 stroke will do but I would stick with tried & true myself.

I think I will start premixing once I put a new engine in my car. I want to make sure it last at least twice as long as my current engine of 30,000 miles with low compression.

True, it's interesting to do the same test with regular engine oils for the users that don't have a sohn adapter

^ damn, you ruined my surprise for part 2 of the video tonight....

After I confirm that the Sabre Pro is fully mixed and maintains as a stable homogenous solution, I will add some Castrol GTX 5W20 to demonstrate what it will look like.

Then for the grand finale, which I will do in the summer, I'm going outside to light the mixture on fire! and see what happens when it's all said and done!

The sad part is that the dealers don't clean **** when putting all your old parts back on. So all the carbon and gunk on your , SSV and APV's stays there.

My last motor was premixed and ran the SOHN from day one and there was still carbon build up. It wasn't horrible but it was there and it only had 30k on it. But my bearings looked good so that is why I am staying with Mobil1 0W-40. But honestly if I did not have the SOHN I would not run synthetic, I would run a good, heavy dino oil (Castrol GTX) and stick to my OCD oil change habits.

I think the only way to really ensure you have no carbon build-up is to do water/meth injection...

After almost 2 days outside

Solution of premix 2 stroke oil and shell vpower91. As follow up to my video 2 days ago. It has been left on balcony untouched for over 40 hours. Here is the result. Perfectly uniform with no sediment action. Without hi-tech equipment to analysis actual viscosity, but just by moving it and swirling it around now, I do not see any lumping action or any change in noticable viscosity. I would say that judging from what I'm seeing, there is no way this would clog a fuel filter, fuel injectors, or leave it sitting at the bottom of your fuel tank.

I must re-iterate that this does not mean ALL PREMIXes are like so. This experiement is ONLY with Shell V-Power 91 and Amsoil Sabre Professional.

I had my 130k fuel injectors serviced 1 was in "poor" condition. The rest were either fair or good, its pretty hard to clog those *******.

I could tell you that after daily driving and premixing my FD for 5 yrs, I replaced my fuel filter and cut the end to see any pending failure mode on the filter media. There was none. Now after owning the same car for 11 yrs, I still premix (motomaster brand 2 stoke). cheap stuff.

So I started doing the same for the 8.

Mixing gasoline in your home?! Transporting it in a plastic juice bottle?! I just can't watch anymore!!

If I just liked to watch my car idle on the driveway, I might be curious to know if my premix settles. But, I prefer to drive and I'm pretty sure there is at least a wee bit of agitation to the fuel in the tank.

The rotary engine will always bring a smile to my face. What ever or who ever makes it.

We can always count on innovation. Sadly... this next gem isn't being done by Mazda, and really it should be:

I wanted to finish off the thread on a positive note.
New Rotary engine in concept stage:

Something hopeful to look forward to!!
