Pros, add to my list changing HID's, removing the Vfad, spark plugs, and possibly painting rotors (not sure if i want to go through the hassle of it thought)

rx8thunder, we might need a tool that can cut through the plastic material that makes up the shrouds on the existing bumper.

yes it would, but we also need a strong exacto, but not as thin blade to trim the edges.

Question - why are you doing the shrink wrap? I looked over quickly last night about installing this. If it was me doing it, I would do the C wire clamp things (same things I used for my Fog rewire) work amazing, WAY easier, no soldering etc. When you are done, just wrap it with electrical tape. Just IMO.

IMO again lol...think that might be over kill and could lead to not a very clean smooth cut. Snip scissors would be best and some sand paper to make it smooth after.

Pros did you ever get any grease for the AFE? If so can you bring it?

I'm in till about 4.

What if we all give Thunder $5-$10 for bbq food? If that's cool with thunder?!?!, saves everyone bringing different stuff and such.

Is this still in Oakville? If so, count me in. I might as well remove my VFAD too.

Still in Oakville, ya food is best to have scott buy it, just toss in 5 or 10 bucks. A lot better then having burgers sit in out Domino's heat wave trunks during the drive from Ajax to Oakville.

I still have the grease.

Who's got snip scissors?

well... if you're painting the calipers n ****.. then I suppose I'm in...

but.. uhh.. how are you guys gonna be doing that? The car needs to be on jacks for like 3 hours before you can put the rims back on no?

Which paint are you guys going with anyways?

I'll have to leave by like 6pm that day though... friends moving on to SK that night..

DarkBrew, I find that I hear clunking a lot in the rear, maybe the front too. I think it's the sways but not sure. Is that due to lack of lubrication?

Maybe we should start at 10am given all of the installs and the fact that some need to leave early?

I picked up some caliper paint from Crappy Tire called Dupli-Color. It was $25. Any good? Should I return it and get something else?

What color is everyone going with?

Rev, we going to do footwell lights?

I think my clunking is from the sway bar end links. Maybe yours as well?
The swaybar bushings were probably over torqued during the install. They started creaking and moaning but I didn't look after it so my end links suffered...

Now I have to re lube, re-torque the mounts and replace the end links.

I hope someone can help!

People swear by G2, but Duplicolor works too.

In any case, the paint will chip, and will need to reapply next year.

I am looking at either silver or gunmetal (if possible).

Ok, that makes sense. Special kind of lube? What end links did you get?

Fog lights will be easy for thunder and I since both our bumpers are coming off.

So Pros, you're sure the rear MS can be done by us without screwing it up right? Get nervous with all the cutting...
