after owning the car for just over a year finally got my first door ding
soo mad right now, it's suck a freaken eye sore! Note to self never to park at an amusement park again!!

Sorry for the rant

 

Useless, but totally understandable. I've had mine now since December of 05 and not a single scratch. I know I'll be very upset when it finally happens.

 

One month and mine has two. Noticed them today. I'll kill my wife in her sleep tonight.

 

Door dings are really annoying!

Sometimes, even if you go out of your way to park somewhere far, there's always that 1 loser who ends up parking next to you for no apparent reason. And dings you!

I've had the car 10yrs and I never removed the door dings until recently! God damn! The body looks brand new!!
I only had 4-6 dings per door (none by me, by the previous owner), and now that they're all gone, the car is flawless!!

I'll never park in a public place again! lol

 

Got my first door ding before I got the license plate was put on and it happened right in front of me. This lady (in a rental no less) swings the car door open and I watch it bounce off my brand new RX8. I couldn't believe my eyes. Long story short I had it massaged out. Good as new. Sorry can't tell the whole story I get mad just thinking of it. She tried to deny it and I had a witness. Terrible people that ding doors.

 

Bought mine in april 2004, not a single ding anywhere.

It's all about where you park the car.

That said, I do have rock chips... damn construction trucks on the highway.

 

I got my sorta dent on Mother's Day, from some white trash lady who was bumming money in the parking lot ... I said no and after coming back from dinner with my mom ... saw two dents (quarter sized) in the rear wheel well area with accompanying dirty shoe print. Thanks alot, trash --> hope you get reincarnated into a slug next life time.

 

I havent had any yet *cross my fingers* But i do remember one time going to futurecrap in Richmond hill very early in the morning and i was like the only person there so i still decided to park my car at the far end so that when people start arriving they will park in the close spots....Guess what i come out of the store there is only one other car in the whole parking lot and its parked next to mine but parked real close, i was expecting the worst but nothing but still that pisses me off

 

door dings, bah!.. I lent my BB'05 to my roommate while I went to Whistler for a week, and when I came back "somebody side-swiped it in a parking lot"... yah right. $1300 and a Mercedez body shop and were back to not knowing it ever happened. He paid for it so I didn't care what lie he made up, guess he was too embarassed to admit he turned too sharp in a parkade.
