I was getting my 8 serviced this morning at Morrey Mazda in north van and I bumped into a sales that I talked to and got a test drive back when I was getting it. I ended up not buying it from him but from another sales at Wolfe Mazda in burnaby. I told him that the other guy gave me "an offer I can't refuse" but the Morrey guy says he's upset that "the most hated guy in our business" stole his sales again. Apparently the sales who sold me my car (gave me a great deal on trade in and stuff) "dropped his pants" to get the sales and does so repeatedly by "burying the cars he sells" (I assume making a sales at near break even profit?). Well I guess it was good for customers like us but apparently the morrey guy told me that all mazda dealers in van hates the guy for doing that and stealing their customers and the manager at morrey called wolfe up before to give them crap about that. Then he went on to slightly jokingly say that they made a deal not to service cars that were sold by that guy (I COULD almost have percieved as a threat or harrassment, but the service manager smoothed things over when I talked to them later) cause I mean hey, the guy gave me a better deal, I don't give a crap if he stole your sale by giving me a break when I never made any commitment with even a deposite.
Oh wells, so guess where I'm getting my next car if I buy mazda again?

similar problem happend to me. My good friend works for Ford, i guess they can sell cars for Mazda as well. So my parents bought a F150 Lariot off my friend. I told him I'm about to buy and 8. he said go to a mazda dealership and look at one. I literally walked into a dealership *Looked* at the car. Didn't test drive, barely sat in it, discussed no pricing, and because I had to speak with the sales guy to sit in the car he automatically assumed that I was now his customer even though i told him before purchasing i'm doing it through my friend. Oh and another thing, the sales guy was a complete MORON. He told me false information, he had no knowledge of the RX-8. hell because of this board I was educating him(he also said I could get a tit grey RX-8 with a black leather interior which was 100% WRONG)

So when it came time to sign the deal, my friend accompanied me to the dealership and this sales guy starts bitching and whinning about how this is his sale. so my friend, said he didn't really care about the commission he was just there to make sure I didn't get screwed.

So I ask myself, why the hell should the customer have anything to do with internal bickering of salesman. They not only put me in a bad situation (the mazda guy) but made my friend look like an idiot in front of me, which obviously i don't think that way but I thought it was EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL.

So Titus, if any sales guy told me what they told you I would have complained instantly. These clowns fail to realize that we are making a huge purchase and any savings helps. and so what if the other guy gave you a better price, do they actually think we would spend more money to appease his sale..

Sorry for the long post.. These sales people drive me insane(not all though)!

Thats just stupid that he's upset. You went for the better deal... Now what the Heck is wrong with that. You should have said "i'm upset with you for not being able to give me a better deal"
