Enjoying my R3 - Thurs evening at Grand Bend??
Hi Every One,
Going to the Rotary Rally, with my "new to me" R3 was pretty much a last minute decision and it turned out to be a really good one.. The old man had a good time, great people, amazing cars and the R3 seemed to enjoy being pushed on the wonderful roads in PA, WV, NC and TN.
Saturday morning after the car show Phil Sohn had a NC State Trooper stop by to give us a "safety talk", what a breath of fresh air, OPP would have been threatening your license and have every cop out on overtime to catch you, this guy actually said he was the only one in 2 counties, no one would lose it, enjoy the roads, don't wreck and have fun..wow. There were lots of pictures taken, have tried to attach one at Fontana Dam.
This afternoon I signed up for the evening lapping at Grand Bend on Thurs, it is my closest track, about 2 hrs from Durham (on #6), been 7 yrs since last on a track so hope it comes back to me, and that was with a VW DSG automatic. Never seen the place so will be much to learn..
Can anyone comment on what tyre pressures work best with the R3 19in set up, I left in the cold with 36psi front and 34 rear and never checked them down there where it was in the 70s, or since, ttt, but I liked the handling so will likely stay similar..
Anyone else going?
Take care
