Come join us at Mosport Victoria weekend
SCCA Pro Racing World Challenge will run May 21 and 22, 2011 at Mosport. This is a great time to come out if you've never been to this event or an event at Mosport. Last year we set the track record on Saturday and finished 3rd. This year we plan to do even better with our 2011 RX-8.

Come on out and stop by and we will put you in the car and you can be part of the Mazda zoom zoom team crew.

I truly cant believe more club members are going out to watch. The three series running are spectacular to watch, touring car, world challenge and Trans-am! Other than the regional series we run in these guys have the best grids and the most exciting racing. There has always been lots of posts about Mazda supporting racing, yet with the lack of enthusiam to attend events they have every reason to save their money.........................just an opinion.
We started 11th and finished 10th in both races. Eric was both a great competitor and a wealth of information. Located beside each other in the paddock Eric would pop over regularly and share set up information and his driving expertise. Couldn't ask for a nicer guy!

Do you always go on the turtles in one, I brush them on exit but don't actually go on them.
Your line through 8 - is the advantage to brake in a straigther line and carry a little more speed in? It was suggested to me by a good driver who said that when he did the more conventional "double apex" he found cars gaining on him there. I am going to try it next time out.
Did you play around with staying a car's length of the top at 5b? May be able to get one the power a little sooner.
Better luck next year.
A couple of questions from a new driver if I may:

I am not sure what the school line is and sure how it relates to my questions... lol
I agree that set up matters however, I don't think his line through 8 or 1 is set up dependent. Some racers will clip the first apex, let the car step out a bit and then bring it back in. Others will miss the first apex just like Kurt did.
Thanks for your input.
