Ben,
I don't mind your concerned posts at all cause my car is going through it's first winter and I like to know others are going thru the same thing as I am. Of course, all my other cars were affected similarly in the cold but it's good to know everything is ok.
But man, my BB is getting so trashed with salt. It looks grey/white rather than black. So got off work and washed it (just quickly) and the water practically froze on contact. I have a garage (not heated) so at least it'll be a little cleaner for about a day.

If I had an 8 where I live. I don't think I would have the same grief as you ChristInBen. Because my winter's are much milder or less intense than yours.

sales people seem nice enough; its just the service department that is beyond poor......enough so that I have spoken to Mazda canada about it and I have documented almost everything they have said to me along with the persons name and position. I had about 4 pages of things that they have told me about my car. Unfortunately for them, I am a very thurogh person and went to 2 other mazda dealers around where I live with the same issue and those two dealers told me the same thing, as in they found and labelled the issue acurately......and they were pleasent on top of it all.Kingston Mazda told me something completely different from what the other 2 dealers said, and what they told me was just a blatent lie. Kingston mazda is a horrible place to have service done, plain and simple. I encourage ANYONE with a mazda to avoid them, find a service place you trust and use them......they are so bad that I drive 45 minutes to Belleville Mazda for anything to be done with my car!.

Gecko69,
Right on. You are lucky to have more than one dealer to choose from. There's only one mazda dealer in London Ontario but fortunately they are fantastic. A few years ago there was another dealer but they were terrible, imo. I don't blame you at all for driving the extra 45 min to get to somebody who you trust and does good work. It's so worth it for our 8's.

No problem. Right there with you, buddy. Bring on the summer. And keep the faith, not that I have any but sounds good on you.
