Coin Washes in Toronto?

My car is soooo dirty, it's driving me nuts.

Any recommended coin washes in Toronto? I'm not talking Mississauga or Brampton or Pickering. I'm talking within the boundaries of say St. Clair north to Steeles, DVP west to the Allen or thereabouts.

Though I'm not keen on letting someone else wash my car, has anyone ever tried the Avenue-Lawrence Car Detailing place right beside Pusateri's Fine Food?

Any help would be much appreciated

I loved the Avenue / Lawrence place when I still had the BMW and although a little more than the rest they're definitely worth it if you havn't cleaned in a while. Since I've switched to the 8 I havn't been up there, but I do go to the one at Bathurst and King once in a while although their inside work isn't worth any mention.

My favorite in the city is the one beside the x-copper office just south of Gyro Mazda on Leaside (DVP / Don Mills) which is entirely hand wash. They're phenomenal, and their inside mini-detail is worth every penny at $50... I'm no slob but with kids in the car and infrequent time for internal cleaning they took it to showroom in less than 30 mins.

I've never tried a coin-op but would love to spend some time with the sprayer under the wheel wells in this salt ridden winter so I'd love to hear the best coin place in the city too... all the way over to High Park if anyone knows any that stand out. There are a bunch in my area but they all seem to look the same....

Thanks Bio.
I know the one you're talking about over on Laird. I drive by it all the time on the way to and from hockey. And thanks for the info re: Avenue-Lawrence. I figured since so many nice cars are in there, they must be pretty good.

There's one just south of wilson/401 on bathurst right next to 7/11. It's $2 for 3:00 minutes.

$2 for 3 minutes??? Seems pretty pricey, doesn't it?

Many of these friggin' coin op wash bays use recycled water....that high pressure spray in your hand is performing more like a sand blaster on your car than a cleaner! Make sure you know how the water is treated before using...
