Cheap Spark Plugs?

Gentlemen,

Among my searches I came across this site:

http://www.sparkplugs.com/product.aspx?zpid=10144
http://www.sparkplugs.com/product.aspx?zpid=10143

RX8 Performance

Prices look pretty good to me. These are the correct spark plugs, I believe. Are they not?

Is there a better place to get these spark plugs? (I checked our club listed vendors first, so don't shoot me, I did try).

Let me know, thanks!

20 bucks each for OEM plugs (NGK) is about as good as I was able to find. I just ordered some with the BHR kit ($80 for plugs)... Just my 2 cents, but spark plugs are not something you want to cheap out on...

I've bought my plugs on ebay before and nope no problems. Those are the OEM plugs, so you should be good.

Haven't personally dealt with that particular seller, but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't go well.

On Amazon currently for $16.21 apiece :

NGK Laser Iridium 6700 Spark Plug : Amazon.com : Automotive NGK Laser Iridium 6700 Spark Plug : Amazon.com : Automotive

Amazon.com: NGK Laser Iridium 6701 Spark Plug: Automotive Amazon.com: NGK Laser Iridium 6701 Spark Plug: Automotive

The one review on those says packaging is iffy; the ones I've had bookmarked for a while instead are $18.29 apiece :

NGK (6700) RE7CL Laser Iridium Premium Spark Plug, (Pack of 1) : Amazon.com : Automotive NGK (6700) RE7CL Laser Iridium Premium Spark Plug, (Pack of 1) : Amazon.com : Automotive

Amazon.com: NGK (6701) RE9BT Laser Iridium Spark Plug, Pack of 1: Automotive Amazon.com: NGK (6701) RE9BT Laser Iridium Spark Plug, Pack of 1: Automotive

EDIT : Oh, Canadians, eh? Umm... not sure how Amazon.com fares for shipping up north, sorry.

EDIT EDIT : I think I have to concur with this post :

I've decided to go with RX8 Performance. It's a little more pricey, but nothing replaces a buyers confidence when a fellow member vouches for the owner of the business.

Actually... when the transaction completes, I'll add my thoughts on RX8 Performance too. I'm totally down for promoting a local rx8 enthusiast that's giving back to his community.

Keep you guys posed! And thanks for the quick links everyone!

Fixed that for you.

Advance Auto Parts is the cheapest place to get plugs, just search slickdeals for promo codes, right now they have $40.00 off orders of $100.00 or more and you can order online or in the store and use it. You can even order online and pick them up at the store.

I have nothing bad to say about the guy, I have purchased many items and had them shipped to Canada with no problems whatsoever!

Yes. Many people have purchased from him successfully. Many others have lost lots of money. Over $70,000 combined if my memory serves correctly. He was banned because of that and has attempted to bypass his ban multiple times by signing up here under different company names.

So the key problem with anything surrounding his products is the people that have dealt with him just fine vs those that have lots LOTS of money and are understandably angry over it.

But, this isn't an appropriate place to discuss his reputation. Granted, no where is really, because there are so many people emotionally charged over the topic.

There is plenty of information here to use. I'll leave the thread open unless people really start diving into the war over Scott.

That is a a very good warning and I'm sorry to hear it. I'll definitely keep that in mind, when selecting my preferred vendors.

Purely out of curiosity, is there a promo code for 200+ ? (I was planning to get coils and ignition wires too)
