Canadian posts

Anyone ever notice that we have a disportionate number of posts and threads for our forum?

I guess we're bigger enthusiasts up here, or maybe our winters give us more time to be online and dream about great summer days in our sports cars

hmmmm... the US has more than 10 times the population of Canada (330 million or something vs. 32 million) :p!! not to mention that our country is by itself, with a population of your average Western European country (less than some, more than others) and all of Europe is lumped together in one section... although, understandably, not many from outside the UK post in there as, well, this is an english speaking board :D ahaha.

Happy Birthday Wakeech! Is it possible Cdns are just more interdependant and this forum suits us because we have no intention to be as independant as Americans? Or is it just cabin fever? Or a need to know due to a big diff. between MCI and Mazda USA?

Thanks for the comments guys.
The interesting thing is, add up the number of posts and threads and thats what I'm talking about.

Interesting to get the US point of views!

:D thank you gord, thanks a lot :D

heh heh, no, i think, again, it has a lot more to do with the population thing: there won't be enough RX-8 Canadian owners to really necesitate an independant forum... besides, this is an international place, just centred in the US (where most of the cars will be globally anyways).

A significant portion of it is because we've left all of the off-topic discussions in the Canada and Europe forums, instead of moving them to the lounge, as we have mostly done in the U.S. regional forums.

And if it weren't for the UK folks commiserating all the time, the Europe forum would have fewer threads than us mountian boys.
