Shinka in " " because it has all of the Shinka features (White leather/alcantara seats, foam filled crossmember, piano black trim, BOSE, etc) but does not appear on the VIN list...not sure why.

New member with 2010 R3 in Surrey B.C.

 

This brave soul just chewed its own heart (aka coolant seals), still runs smooth, but parked for engine rebuild.

 

How many km's on the clock?

 

I left a hose clamp off and the damage was done by the time low coolant light came on.

 

There’s no thumbs down button. Not good news.

 

Damn. That's unfortunate. But it only has 75k on the clock. Get a replacement engine in there and you'll enjoy a sweet ride for many years to come.

Looking at a few different options. Started pulling the motor out, almost 85% done.

 

Nice! Hopefully rebuilt a good series 2 engine.

 

 

Look forward to hearing about the new engine. Any modifications?

 

Picking up a damaged vehicle to swap motors soon. This motor will probably sit for a while till I make up my mind.

 

Do a quick swap to get the car back on the road sooner while you attempt to rebuild this one. Pretty sure it's still good. Just needs a good rebuild..

My new name is Rescue1. I am a 2009 R3 with 65k. I got severe hail damage this spring and was probably going under the knife as a donor for my precious parts, but this guy saved my life. Now I have been rid of that silly cat that kept biting me all the time and also the evil power robbing K&N Typhoon intake!!!! I hope to live a healthy and happy life, my new friend loves my dimply looks. He bought me new front glass and transplanted rear glass, hood, mirrors from a silver8. I have aftermarket wheels with 285-30-18 tires, Kenwood stereo with sub and AP exhaust. He has plans for me yet, probably a heart transplant...... cheers
