Hello friend! There use to be a lot of us in the past but some have either sold their 8's or just haven't been around anymore (I'm a little bit guilty of that).

Back in the day, I remember seeing a lot of 8's on the road and waving at people. Not so much anymore.

 

I was think we could meet this weekend at boness park ?? for a BBQ and some Games??
I would like to see more of us who ever is still here in and around Calgary area.

 

^ This would be a great idea. I have seen a few 8's in the city recently but all I get are dirty looks in mine, what gives?

 

Seems like most of the original guys on here traded or sold theirs.

I traded mine in 2011 but still stalk the forums, waiting for the 16x in 2015 before I hop in another rotary.

 

I'm still here! I'm not a regular on the forums, I mostly pop-in for DIY instructionals. I'm generally too busy on weekends for meetups

Note: If anybody in Calgary is shopping for tires these days, I'm taking a trailer to Montana in Oct or Nov to pick up a couple of sets. I should have room for 2 more sets. PM me if you want in, I would ask for $50/set to help with gas and trailer rental. And I think the receiver charges $20/set.

I'm in Calgary! There are a few 8s around. I always wave and talk with people at red lights. Unfortunately i'm not in driving condition and she's sitting in the garage stored for winter.

Is it really that much cheaper down there? I need a new set for my winter pathfinder. 31/10.5/15 or 265/75/15. Talk soon.

Whoa so many ex-rx8 creepers are still around! I still got mine, but hardly drive it. I saw a souped up black R3 yesterday in Panorama I think, is that anybody's car on here? Looks tight.

it was a good price but engine? obviously toasted. (cooling jacket failure I beleive, I have uncle buck smoke and did the coils/plugs/wires)

anyone in Alberta selling a reasonably priced engine?

I have always been a fan of the car and I always knew I would own one, one day proud to finnally be posting

 

Edmonton is my second home! there's a guy i know in Windermere with an FD, haven't seen any rx8's around though. enjoy it now winter is coming boys........

 

buy a rebuild from these guys and drop it in yourself. shipping can't be a heck of a lot.
