I went by yesterday, and a Titanium and a Black RX-8 were on the lot at Performance Mazda in Ottawa.

The Titanium one is mine. Pick up is 4:00PM today! My wait is almost over!

I'd like to apologize for the rain.
I spent most of sunday washing, cleaning, polishing and waxing my 8. It hasn't really stopped raining since I finished and is apparently effecting all of eastern Canada.

I'll be sure to warn people before I do that again! :D

Oh well.. I managed to get 4 coats of Zaino Z02 onto the car in the first week I have it, so I'm well protected until the rain goes away.

 

I went by performance to check out the titanium, it's a lot lighter then I thougt. They were in the process of washing the car but I still got a good look. Nice...... it looks awsome with the strakes. I have the same configuration on order (still no vin tho' ) I then went to Argus to see the winning blue (my other choice). It also looks very good specially in the shade, it makes it look darker. In the full sun, I find it becomes too flashy/boy racer, I'm happier witht the more subduded look of the titanium. BTW the black/tan inserts seems to look more luxurious then just black.

 

Bank st. got a TON of cars. 1 Titanium, 1 Red, 1 Silver, 1 Yellow, 1 Blue.

Maybe more but they had every colour but black. Originally I wanted the Titanium but it was lighter than I thought and not as flashy as I first thought. The tan is classy but I didn't really like it all that much. I'm glad I got the red now!

I took the car to a car show in Kanata tonight.... LOTS AND LOTS of attention!

 

...went by Performance tonight...black GT still on the lot...not shiny but nice nonetheless

There is a car show monday nights in Orleans apparently, taking it there??

All totaled, a bit over a grand + tax. I think that Performance Mazda is giving all the RX-8 buyers a watch like mine, I saw the one they were giving to the guy who bought the blue 10 days ago.

I don't know about the car show in Orleans, I live in the west. I am also going to be out of town for the next few Mondays.

Man, maybe I'll go to performance for some extras. Although apparently Pembroke gives a good deal.

I can't believe performance gives everyone a watch and I basically just got screwed around. I won't be returning to Bank St. for anything, except to use the coupons they gave me.

 

They gave me a serious looking plaque with a certificate including my production number, the date it was made, and my named ingraved in it.

Ohhhh .... and I got a RX8 watch too.

 

I'm begginning to wonder if Bank St. got the watches and are keeping them for themselves!

 

Performance Mazda was claiming that the watch was something that they were doing, not just something free from Mazda corporate. It's hard to tell what's true, but it was a nice touch.
