So on top of slow RX-8's, we'll have to deal with drivers who are high?? lol Or is it because the driver is high that the RX-8 drivers go extra slow?? lol
Put me in the list.
I think that same weekend is Mothers day, isn't it??
What is with showing up at the track at 9am?!?! Holy crap!!
I think I'lll be able to show up around 11am or so. A little more reasonable.

Yes.. this is taking place on Mothers Day. Actually... I'll add you to the rx7club list... you're on every forum dude!
Anyways.. We're gonna be there for 8am actually... but.. if you want to come later.. suit yourself. Just remember that the lapping is first come first serve. I've posted this on at rx7club and protege club's as well.. just waiting on account activation before I posted it on the 6club...

I am The One!
Rev,
Yeah, I'm on alot of forums. I've owned alot of Mazdas.
First come, first serve. If the past indicates anything, it'll primarily be RX-8's and RX-7's hitting the track. Very few Mazda3's, Proteges, and 6's bother to show up. They prefer the parking lot/BBQ thing they typically do. lol
Regardless, I'll try to get there before 11am. This way we can chit chat a bit before hitting the track.

ill assume from that comment that you've never been in a mazdaspeed protege. They are peppy as hell and they handle really well for a FWD car. a good driver would certainly give an rx8 a run for their money, especailly on staights.

Just thought I should take a moment to thank Chris for all his work on helping with the organizing of this event. It should be great this year! I thought some of you might also like a bit of insight to how this all began.
In 2006 a member of the RX7 club and fellow racer Eric Nummelin put together a "swap meet" for the RX7 club the 1st race weekend of the year. It was for that club only and we had about 15 people show up. In 2007 it was pretty much the same. In 2008 I invited the RX8 club and a few of our customers, we had a about 30 cars show up. This year we decided it was time to open it up and see how many Mazda's we could attract to the event. It doesnt appear at this time there will be a "Meeting of the Mazda's" so this could very well be it! (lol)
Anyway just a brief history on the event and hope everyone can make it out and have some fun!

Then you guys should join the commitee and spearhead it. MOTM 2007 was the best at Cayuga!

Been trying to get more involved in the Rx8 community and this looks like a good start! Hopefully I can come out and meet a couple of you guys before hand at like a mini meet before MoSport hits!
