Feed back is great...except a "fast" driver in MS3 I guess...

http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/sh...t=30527&page=2

I am not going to comment but some of his statements are really unfounded. Can't he have fun in the turns instead of keep asking for top speed?

Oh wait...he cant...:P

Seems like this guy needs to go and plan something of his own, instead of griping about what turned out to be a really fun day

Well, I think some it comes from the group he was in, his car was over matched for that group. We had all RX-8s so driving was great.

I don't want to comment on this as well, but at least the 8's and the 7's had fun, and at least I had fun..........

I could tell him that I was in the cold registration office for 2 hours signing people in before waiting 3 hours in the windy cold to go 5 laps. Maybe it'll make him STFU.

lol the fobio guy is definately a little sour

i`m kinda missing exactly how the rx8club/scarb. mazda owes him anything

it also didn`t occur to me that the 20 dollars to sick kids was `payment`for the lapping... that was just a nice thing this forum decided on doing after lapping day discussions were initially started from what i remember.

its too bad he thinks we did it for the press or something lol

I didn't join to start a pissing match, but I want to put this to rest.

I appreciate Al Balinsky and ABR and Scarboro Mazda for putting this together. I'm even happy you guys raised $1000 for Sick Kids.

What I'd like changed for next year is that:

1. this not be an RX8 focused event where you guys all lapped in a faster group, as if the rest of us are just tagging along.

2. if Al says we'll hit a certain speed, let's aim for that...and having groupings of experienced and inexperiencd drivers will halp make it more fun than "RX8's and the rest of the Mazda's".

I had a lot of fun last year when I went, and I even wrote a glowing review of it:

http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/sh...hlight=mosport

this event that I went to this year was not the same, and in my eyes as a participant, the difference is that the RX8 club decided to round up their members and make a fund raiiser out of it...increasing participation numbers, yes, but diminished the fun factor for the rest of us...(how many of you guys were even there last year?)

if you guys have a problem with how I have respectfully expressed myself to begin with, take it up with me...

Thief and I met...we see each other on the commute almost everyday...if you also have a problem with what I've said, talk to me...don't stay on your board and take pot-shots at another Mazda...

You guys can make this sour if you want, but in my eyes, successful organizers actually appreciate feedback from participants to improve their events.

Fobio, I respect your opinion but certainly do not agree with it. You are completely missing the point IMHO

If you are going to this event to just for the track time, don't. The fact that we get a few laps around the track is a bonus. The real point of this event is to watch Al race, meet up with fellow enthusiasts and raise money for a good cause. If all you want is track time, buy it, don't expect it for free.

Your attitude comes off as being very self centered and is irritating for those of us who enjoy a strong community spirit. Do us all a favor and never buy an RX8 because you don't belong in this club.

erm...I went to the track to help you guys raised funds and do a few laps...expecting to have some fun while I chatted with my fellow Mazda owners...

I didn't go to tag along with a RX8 event...

and don't make this about cars...and your club...as unlike you guys, schpilling ish about other cars isn't how I go about making friends...last year I made friends with 2 RX8 guys and 2 MS6 guys and I even went to the track with a few of them...

Maybe you're right...this parade lap event is best left for those who don't track and be grateful they even got to lap Mosport at the graces of the RX8 club.

Hey Fobio, let's put this an end, if you are not satisfied with it, then by all means, don't come next year........ the main purpose of this event is to watch Al race, cheering and supporting him.......... like rx8thunder said, the parade lapping is somehow a bonus, don't expect tracking it for free......... we all are so happy that we can have a great time and raised more than $1000. You don't belong to both Rx-8 and Rx-7 club.......

YO CALM THE HELL DOWN PEOPLE.

YO CALM THE HELL DOWN PEOPLE.

YO CALM THE HELL DOWN PEOPLE.

Its alright for Fobio express his concerns and suggestions. The organizers are always trying to improve and will work harder to make next year's event even better.

Afterall, its about maximizing fun for everyone while showing our support to the sport and also some charity work as well. It is a win-win-win scenario as Mike said!

We are all Mazdas. We should flame the other brand instead of in-fighting k?

edited for the sake of not stretching this argument more

but i do have to say this. fobio, your comments offend me alot. you have such a big problem with how strong the rx8 presence was it seems. if you notice, there were alot of people that said they were coming from other clubs as well and like usual few of them acutally showd but almost everyone from the rx8club that said they were coming did. we have a strong community. one of the event planners is a member of our club and hence, we are all good friends and pitched in as best we could to help him/the event out. your lack of appreciation is very annoying. how about eddie who sat there for more than 2 hrs registering people. How about me and jason who froze our buns off at the gate directing people in and trying to make sure they had all they needed to get on the track. How about the lot of us that spent our own money out of pocket for others to have some free food at the event? i know you are trying to be constructive, but it comes across as rude and unappreciative. Also, this must be said. at the drivers meeting, Al never promised 140. he said he would cap the speed at 140. so that means 140 or less!!!!!!

that'd be nice if I didn't come next yr so you guys can continue to feel good about things...thank goodness you guys don't speak for all Mazda's...besides, why would I want to join a club with half the trq I have?...lol...

if Kafka is your spokesman, I've made peace with him...he knows where I'm coming from, and it's not about speed, who has a faster Mazda and who has a "club"...I just feel you guys could've made it a much more enjoyable event if you took my feedback into consideration for next yr...and instead of addressing it, you guys can't help but wrap yourselves in your own glory.

I just wanted to give you guys some feedback...why would I ever want to join your club?Geez...and I'm not even one of the pot-smoking, smack-talking, burn-out ricers causing ruckus...oh wait, you guys got that covered...

I may not be getting across to you guys so I won't antagonize you guys anymore...anyone who've met me in real life knows I'm never out to make enemies...you guys have a nice day!

Settle down Josh. Free expression goes both ways, so relax and let people say what needs to be said... And DON"T SHOUT, it's annoying

Ok Fobio lets get it straight. We DO have one convicted street racer in the Canada forum but thats it! Ask mazda3 / mazda6 GTA club...I think they got more haha.

Anyway, we are all passionate car nuts but it rx8 or mazdapseed3 or whatever it is.

Please don't e-gangsta each other alright ppl? I wanna feel good about myself and I cant do it when you folks are fighting!

P.S: Oh we also have a pedo bear in the Canad forum too lol. Guess who?

This has nothing to do with what kind of Mazda you are driving, it has everything to do with how comments are put forward, basically whining in general!

Gotta agree with everything Thunder and Greg said!!!!

This was an amazing day, the track time was a bonus.

WAY TO GO AL!!!!

That's all i have to say

Thanks thumper, those are great video's of the back of my car!

You can't really tell, but on the back straight my car would fullout close the throttle for no reason. Hope it didnt hold you up.

I will post my pics in a couple days, my g/f forgot her camera cable in North york.

I had a great time, I know it wasn't full out, but really, would anyone rather have
a nice shiny Mazda become a component of Mosport's walls?

Not really right?

Best to keep the 10/10th's driving to the pro's.

And if anone else was really serious about going fast, why didn't they bring the R-compounds?
