Battery question

Hey folks,

I am going to the drive-in at Oakville with a few friends tonight in my 8.
Since I am going to be using the car's Bose stereo system to enjoy the movie, I am wondering how long my battery will last before it dies out and I need a boost to start my 8.

I am planning on watching 2 movies tonight.

Any thoughts?

Thx!

Ah drive-in in the rain! gotta love it. I would think that if your batt is in good condition it should be ok. Maybe just run her a bit between the two flicks.

As long as you have the upgraded battery (post 05)you should have no problems at all

Might be a good excuse to convince yourself "it's time to get an optima (or some other aftermarket battery)" though...

Drive-in was fun. Rain was not though. Fired up the car every now and then and let it run for a min or 2 during the rain cuz wipers were on. Once the rain went away, no need to start it up. All good.
Thx guys.

FWIW, mine dies after 2 hrs. It's an 05 post-upgrade and used to last through an entire day's zaino session, but that was before I added a sub/amp. I was reminded, the hard way last winter, that it needed more juice. No more deep cycling for me.

Optima Yellow Top if anticipating deep cycle usage.

Guess you'll be looking at the yellow top then... but you might need to extend your wires as yellow doesn't have reverse polarity...

Maybe a cap for your sub would be good to save your electrical if you don't have one now!
