Audiolink installation in Calgary

Wondering if anyone can suggest a reputable place to have an audiolink that i purchased installed in Calgary? and how much i should expect to pay?

I've never actually worked on a car so I'm not sure if I want to do the installation myself since I've heard the Rx-8 is horrible for audio installations.

Thanks guys!

I installed the Audiolink myself. I'll admit it was a real pain in the ***, but it's is quite possible and there are on-line instructions. The hardest part (by far) is to pop the head-unit out after you have removed the bolt accessible from under the drivers side foot-well.

Hippak ... did you install it yet? Ha ha .. thanks for reminding me about this mod. I wanted to do this back in 2006 but totally forgot about it. Where did you order from? Audiolink.ca?

Have not installed it yet (still waiting to actually pickup my RX-8), was supposed to take delivery in March but I can't wait that long so I'm hoping to pick it up in the next 1-2 weeks.

i got it from audiolink.ca, use the coupon code RX8MP3 for free shipping.

EDIT: just noticed,

I dont think the audio link works with 2004s I know that you need 9.55 firmware or higher?

Maybe i'm wrong tho

Also pickup an extension cord from monoprice.com so that you can extend it all the way beyond the cup holders into the secret compartment.

I'm still paranoid to do the install myself, i can barely change the headlights on a car so I'm hoping I can find someone in Calgary to pay to do it.

I think that the Audiolink is alright on mine ... I remember giving out a huge sigh of relief when the 9.55 showed up on the dash back in 2006. Besides, some guys with the 9.53 got it working.

I've taken apart the center console before and it's pretty duh duh ... so I think that you should DIY. Or if there are some other Calgary guys that are getting it, we can all do an install meet .
