Anyone here from NB or the Maritimes?
Anyone here from NB or the Maritimes?
I'm currently living in Ottawa and will be moving back home to Miramichi, New Brunswick in the next little bit... Just wondering if there are any more local RX8 owners around as it will be a big change from the Ottawa scene lol.

I'm not aware of too many active users from down here on the forum. Maybe a half dozen that I've seen post over the years.
A few of us in Halifax have batted around the idea of putting a Rotary group together (not enough cars to make it specific to a model) but haven't really had the time to do much about it.

Haha, these things seem to still be fairly rare back home. There is only 1 or 2 in the Miramichi area, and they certainly don't have any modifications whatsoever lol
*drools* If i'm ever in Hali, I NEED to see this FC!!!
1986 Mazda RX-7 Road-Race Car: Full Bridge Port with RX8 rotors and eshaft, lots of Racing Beat and MazdaSpeed goodies built by RPM Motorsports
Ahhh right on, thats where my girlfriend went as well...
Yes, you did see me car a the Mazda dealership in Orleans back in mid August... It's been there since mid-late July, and it STILL there now... for **** sakes...
I keep getting the run around on when it will be ready, but i've given up holding my breathe for it...

As for the FC, she's a work in progress (what race car isn't?) but things are coming along.
Here's a random pic that some person posted on Lowmotion (local import web site) from their annual show last weekend. We dragged a few race cars to try to drag in some new victims to lapping/track days/racing etc. I don't have any other pics handy.

If you are ever in Halifax, drop me a line. Always happy to hang around in the garage and talk Rotary for hours...
Ohh man, thats a nice FC right there!!! Those are some BEEFY tires on those TE's!
It's very very rare that I make my way into NS, let alone as "far" as Hali, but if I do end up going down for some reason i'll give you a shout on here for sure!

Hey, I'm picking up an 04 Silver RX-8 tommorow from moncton. Right now I'm living in freddy. I've only seen a few RX-8s here, and a few down at the base. Wheres the best place to pick up snow tires for these babys?
It looks like its gonna be another wonderful cold NB winter, should be an interesting time to have one of these cars from what I'm reading on the site.

Hey Redshift, I seen your RX7 back at SSE months ago, couldn't remember what your S/N was on here at the time to give you props though lol. That thing is a beauty, definitely one of my favorite cars at the show!
On another note, I spotted a VR RX8 today as I was leaving Canadian Tire here in Miramichi. Had a killer set of Volk SF-Challenges on it.
