Any installs this weekend??

Guys,

I know the majority of us couldn't get together last weekend.
How does this weekend look?

I've only got 1 big thing to install and it's going to be an odd request. I need to get HID foglights installed on my 6. Just looking at the amount of space available under the hood makes me cry!

I also have to install my ebrake handle on the FD.

Anyone else??

Alright, so this weekend is doable. That's great!
I'm tired of looking at the HID box on the ground in our room.
So which day? Sat. or Sun? I'm good either way.

I've got one, but I don't know if it works.

Looks like Sun is giong to be the day. Hopefully it won't rain too hard.

scotts got a really nice torque wrench. Maybe he could bring it with him or if he's hosting again, then its covered.

chris, HID fogs on a mazda6 seems imposible IMO. We are talking about the fog lights that are in the headlight assembly right? Because there is a serious lack of real estate in there for any extra wiring. but im sure we could figure it out.

Scott, got your PM, im in for sunday. no real preference over where this takes place.

Excellent.
Thanks guys. I've been wanting to get those damn HID bulbs in the car for awhile now.

Greg,
Yeah, I know what you're talking about. It's not easy finding room for the ballasts. We had a hell of a time for the standard driving lights. I know for sure we'll have to take the bumper off to get to the light assemblies. But I've got faith on getting it installed.
What would really be great is if we can get the DRL's rewired on the car to the highbeams! Now that's a task and a half! The other guy tried, and he couldn't get them to go. I don't know what the problem was. The wiring seems to check out. But in the end it still doesn't want to fire as the DRLs. I'll let you scramble your head around that.

As for the FD, it looks like I'll be leaving it up in Aurora since it's going to rain for the next couple of days after Sun. The ebrake handle will have to wait.

My biggest concern is getting those damn HID lights in the car. As a bonus, getting the DRL's to work would really make my girl happy!

zmfnzm,
I'll bring the rear LED lights I've got kicking around. See if they'll work on the 8.

I'm okay with hosting on Sunday unless you want it Thunder. Lots of room to park on the street. Single driveway but it will hold three cars.
