I went today. Be prepared for parking chaos on Sunday. People pitched their tents in all the wrong places this year, taking up all the parking spaces leading up to Moss corner. My suggestion is to park your car near that alternate exit (you know how there is a fork in the road right after the corner 3 bathroom/corner station).

Sorry, Warren & climacus I bail on you, went to look at a FD instead. Had all good intentions of going but this came up and I always go when I hear of one as they are few and far between.
Sorry again hope to see you both on the 19th at Mosport or maybe sooner. Now I have two FD to consider one LHD and one RHD which is more pristine, wow when it rains it pours.

I ended up skipping Sunday this year since Speed has the broadcasting rights and is showing it in HD. Sucks about the race being red-flagged. That was one hell of a head-on. And the M3 going airborne, holy sh-t.

I was there on Sunday. For some reason I feel the urge to grab some Falken tires...

Great day though, saw a few spinouts, too bad I missed the crashes but I saw the replays on Speed.

The ALMS race was disappointing compared to previous years; none of the big brands are around anymore... Well, except Mazda of course
The supporting races were weak.
The Sunday would be awesome if they moved the Star Mazda race over from Saturday.

The timetable wasn't very well thought out this year, that was one of the reason why I skipped Sunday.

The Prototype lites were a little tame for an ALMS weekend (they'd be fine if paired up with World Challenge for Victoria Day). And the 1 hr 15 min race format on Sunday was way too long. I saw half an hour of it on Saturday and slept through most of the race.

That's what a recession do to the racing scene. Audi is gone, Formula BMW is gone, Formula Atlantic is gone. Unless Goldman Sachs start picking up the tab for all the ladder series, it is going to be like this for a while.

Manufacturered backed teams are few and far between.
Everyone is trying to stay afloat out there. The recession has been felt in everything. Especially motorsports.

I was there for Sun. We got in due to support by M.E.R. running the MX-5 spec series.

That was a good race. A lot of drifting from those little guys around corner 2.

We walked around a bit and checked out some great "scenery". lol
I do agree the Falken girls were some of the prettiest ones out there.

The ALMS teams have dwindled down a bit from previous years I attended.
I completely missed the end of the race when they had to red flag it due to the Bimmer taking flight.

Hopefully the recession ends soon so we can see more incredible racing!
