Hey guys,

looks like I need a new alternator and am hoping to pick your brains. Dealership wants a stupid amount of money for one. Can you recommend any good online shops here in Canada for this? Or should I just get it rebuilt or source an aftermarket unit?

I say just get it rebuilt at a local shop. I had one rebuilt for another car a few years ago and it was $150.

thanks for the info. I actually had it rebuilt for $125 by a quality shop here in town
