BC After Market CAT

Looking for information on an aftermarket CAT.
Has anyone bought an aftermarket CAT?
Has anyone ever went to a muffler shop to get a new CAT welded in place of a broken CAT?

Any information is appreciated.

I believe there are a few members here that have been using the MF replacement cat without issue for quite some time.

Have a hi-flo one on my 7 for 2 years, I think it's time for me to replace it, it's starting to get clog up.
But for the price it was well worth it!

This is good to know..

I know Mazda list is $2600 just for the CAT up here in Canada. Dealers in the States I've seen list for around $1050.

Thanks Ravieg29!

Exhaust problems?

I'm not sure what might be the problem but the last 20k miles or so I have had some wicked vibrations while my car has been idling and recently as I begin to accelerate, I'm getting a steady vibration (almost like a stutter). My vehicle has just hit 90k miles and I had an engine replacement @ 68k miles (mazda replaced engine under warranty). Could this be a catalytic converter problem or am I looking at something more serious than this? I have no check engine light on at this time.

^ Create a new thread in the New Member section to get more attention to the topic, but for starters, check your motor mounts for any wear/tear/cracking

Yea you'll have to buy it through me, I have an account with Magnaflow so I get discount on any Magnaflow for that matter. If anyone wants anything let me know, I'll buy, pick up and meet up with you somewhere. I live in Toronto at Kipling/Finch work at Weston/Finch but won't mind arranging a half way meet. 647 388 4689 text best way to contact me.

Paimon may have answered you. Could be engine mounts. I have (bought car with) solid steel engine mounts (Lol yea don't ask) vibrates quite a bit.
