Well I just came back from a CPR course and got caught in a snow storm. I was taking a right hand turn and wasn't going fast AT ALL. I hit black ice and hit a wooden stop sign . The front bumper cracked from the passenger front light all the way down to the bottom of the apperence pkg.

Does anyone know what a front bumper, light, fog light, and air dam cost. Or would it just be better to get a mazda speed front bumper. All this happen in maple above toronto .

Pete, So sorry to here about your misfortune! I live in Brampton and i know what it is like out right now. IT SUCKS! The front air dam is 6 and change (cnd $), the front bumper will go for about 800, and you can expect the light to run 200. If i were in ur place i would go for the ms front end! I think it would even out in the end. Good luck, drive safe and keep us posted.

Pete...I don't know. But, I think it would look sharp. If you didn't have the AP, I think it would look off. Its a fairly popular mod, maybe wade through the Pictures/Multimedia section, you may find an 8 with the MS front bumper on it.

Sorry to hear that...that storm was pretty crazy..i heard in maple that it was near white out conditions..

if you need a body shop i recommend Euopean autobody. The are the body shop to Ferrari maserati of ontario and the mississauga dealership in woodbridge, i had some work done on my golf about a year ago and they did excellent work

p.s. go with the MS it looks better!

The Pole had it coming . Cleaned it right off the ground ...

Pete, very sorry to see you crack up the front end of the 8. Thank God you are safe. I think the MS kit is the cat's ***, to be sure. Not that I am recommending this, but there are otheres beside mazda that sell the MS kit as well for far cheaper. I really don't know much about this stuff or how to determine which body kits are better quality than others, but it may be worth to check e-bay or other sources for the same package. Just a suggestion.

On the bright side, I don't think I have every seen a yellow 8 with the MS kit. You may be the only guy in North America with it! Given that they stopped making the car in yellow, the value of your car may rise substantially!!!! You will be unique, thats for sure.

 

Pete...Ouch!!! Is the passenger side fender damged also? What about the light? Your fog lights and lamp washers won't work with the MS front bumper...right? Also, the did you order the whole kit?

I'm glad to hear the airbags didn't go off... the hit must not have been that hard... although you did kill that pole... Just lucky I guess...

Get that fixed ASAP!!!

That completely sucks, i was worried on that day about everyone...... But glad to hear your getting the MS bumper!! there is a post in the aftermarket section with just the bumper and apperance package, it looks pretty sweet, maybe save a few bucks, and just get the front bumper.
