Myabe we can do that on Sat or its too busy? I will be out probably since I got weddings to go !#@%$^ But at least I may wanna go wash it oh well...ask Al, I bet he need help moving the cars and preparing for the event on Sunday.

Just simple logistics, but the PM in my self want to make sure this goes as smooth as possible.

One of the key items will be the location of the transporters and their race cars. If weather is nice we will just put them in front of the dealership; otherwise, it will be inside the showroom.

Second, the location of the rest of the cars, eg, Rx8, Rx7, Mazda6, Mazda3...what you have in mind Al?

Third, we need to know where to set up registration table for the bbq? Or what you have in mind Al?

The logistics are finally coming together, Dyson will be here sometime on Saturday and so will the AIM team. I hope to put the Dyson transporter right across the front of the dealership where the front line of cars would normally be, and the Aim trailer up the east side. I will need about 6 volunteers as we have staff from the dealership as well that day. The Lawrence Ave entrance will be blocked off so everyone will enter off Howden Ave and we can have a table there for collecting money and handing out tickets for the BBQ. We dont have a lot of draw prizes for the day as that really wasn't the purpose of the event but we need to figure out a way to draw for the few we have, any suggestions would be great. Also if anyone knows of a DJ that would be great too. I spoke to a guy at MOTM yesterday but he hasnt gotten back to me!

K, we need at least 3 things:
Floor plan for location of the teams and cars
Roles and Responsiblites for the day (eg, ticket guy, security guy, PR guy, BBQ guy etc)
DJ and MC (We MAY need some good DJ volunteering)

Josh worries about so many things! lol The parking will be fine, the best problem we can have is too many cars. I will be here by 7am that day, so you can come as early as you like to get premium spots etc. We still need some bodies to volunteer some time, and have to plan for tickets for the bbq and draw prizes.

I think a floor plan and map are really important. When I say map I dont mean to Mazda, but as to how we will navigate through the lot and where the cars will go. If we dont have this and maybe some lines on the pavement to show where cars should go, we might have some crowding issues. It would be best if when this is made its posted up here in like a pdf format or something.

Copy of the editorial from the Toronto Sun Aug 16 There is one small error, we havent done anything like this in the past lol

All we have left to do now is try and round up about another 20 RX8's!! lol

On a serious note I just want you guys (and girls) to know how much I appreciate your support for everything we have done together this year. Starting with the May 10th event I cant express how I felt getting our 1st race win with everyone there cheering us on. It really meant a lot to me. Also the lapping days, I havent lost a penny on them and thats all because of your support. We see more RX8's here for service on a daily basis than any other dealer, and even when we mess up (we all do) we still get total support. Just wanted to take a moment out to thank all of you for your support!

alan ever think of asking for a raise? as you've stated you have more rx8's at your dealership than any other and this is because of YOU not just that fact you have an online presence but because of you being a honest trust worthy up front guy who we the consumer respect and look to for advice on various topics related to automobiles.

thanks so much alan for being there for us. you are a big part of why i enjoy owning a mazda as much as i do. i really hope mazda appreciates you and keeps you happy our community would not be what it is if you were to ever jump ship and move to a different car manufacture.

ps iv stated it earlier in the thread alan but im currently in barbados my gf is currently giving me **** because im on the forums instead of on the beach. but anyways i wont be returning till the 28th. i'm trying to get my dad or a friend to take my 8 to the event its harder than i thought to convince someone to borrow my car for a day. i suppose my family and friends know how important my car is to me and afraid something may happen.

i really wish i could be there and i really hope this events successful enough this happens again next yr so i can attend

Oh.. for those of you that will be there for this.... we'll be doing demonstrations of the road force and alignment systems all through out the day... guess what this means? We'll actually be picking random car's of the folks that are there and provide the service for -free-. Looks like we'll be doing roughly a demo once every hour or two..

JAY ARE YOU FOR REAL TO DJ?

ANSWER ME PLEASE. And tell me what you need exactly on the equipment side.

I need to have it resolved ASAP.

Thank you.

2hit6: Please give the waffle tickets to Al

As for silent auctions, we will probably do mosport track days, etc...i think. will confirm asap.

Chris: Can you come up with a time table of the events that day? Or its up in the air still? thanks.
