20B....ring a bell !!!

Hi, i'm from quebec area (beauce) and my friend and buy bought a 20B and looking for a complete rebuilt including porting and turbo (single)....for now we want to begin the project in automne and hopefully get the engine running in spring....maybe!! And after that we'll take the dificult decision where we're gonna put it an ''8'' or FB.....???

Congrats, I thought about doing that too. Are you going Forced induction or N/A with that? 20Bs are a monster

Welcome Frank.

Search "20b" on this site, you'll find lots. A member here called Rgonza has swapped it and claims that its easier to swap the 20b into an 8 vs. a 7. Also, I understand a shop in Ontario called RPM has done this kinda thing.

Actually he bought the 20B motor from me :D
They drove 12 hours to get to the shop to pick it up!

BTW Frank, I found the motor mounts and the intake elbow for the motor. I'll send them to you soon. Send me your mailing info and I'll get them shipped out.

i want to do that in vancouver...but i dont think they have an experienced shop here that will do the job

Ship the car out to me I'd be more than happy to tackle the project....but I do hope you realize that it does cost a fair amount of $$ to make it work.
