Ok guys, we are happy to announce a date and venue for our first meet of 2012! I thought I'd invite our fellow rotary brothers and sisters to join us!

Date: May 13th

Where: Toronto Motorsports Park

Time: 0900am to 0500PM

Its always been an idea of a few of us to have a track day meet and thanks to the organizers (SRTA) of Sigma Time attack this is now a reality!





We have been invited to join them on their first time attack of the season to TMP to join them as participants in their timeattack or as spectators if you choose not to track your car on that day. There is ample parking around TMP that the guys/gals not racing can park and have a meet and greet.

This year is also the first ever Sigma GT5 time attack challenge this year at SRTA. This is also a great way for people to bridge the gap between real racing and simulation racing. I believe the track of choice for the simulation challenge is Fuji Speedway ! For a small $10 fee people can race against other or against time and 100% of the profit goes to Sick Kids hospital!

This will be a great venue for our meet and I hope that you can all join us. Im sure that ride-alongs will also be possible if you ask nicely

This is the first year that SRTA series will be run at TMP so lets join them as they break their proverbial TMP cherry Im sure that Howi and the rest of the team will chime in. If i forgot anything feel free to add.

There will be great media coverage on track and off provided by the SRTA photographers and our own Charles Spivak (CS13b)!

The Hamilton and Cayuga members will be meeting up at the Tim hortons / Wendy at Upper centennial & Mudd st. (Didn't post a time yet).

I am from Markham, Toronto, who else are from this area? Maybe we can meet up ahead, then cruise together to meet up the rest at Upper centennial & Mudd st.

^ Alright. So I have a few other 7s with me to meet up at 8:30am or 8:45am at Sherway Garden first, then we cruise to TMP.

The rest who signed up on the RX-8 list, are you guys going to TMP individually? (Minus Kenspec and Mazda_RX804, there are still six RX-8s on the list)

 

I will be heading out at 6:30am got to go and pick up passenger downtown first then get to Cayuga and set up camp,change wheels and all the usual pre track crap too.

I'll be heading down early as well. I don't have to change tires or anything as I put the car back to stock recently with the plan to sell it but the guys I will be coming out with do so I will be at TMP rather early as well...
