Hey everyone! I just wanted to tentatively place a date for this event so that we are all on the same page again this year. Last year worked out well, so perhaps we can have it at the same location in Bow Valley.

When: August 25th, 2007
Pre-meet: Canada Olympic Park Parking lot (Calgary, Alberta) 12:30pm
Departure: 1:15pm
Arrival at Bow Valley: approx. 2:15pm

Everyone might want to bring some food for themselves and their groups and have a little bite to eat out on the grass next to the lake.

Is there another forum somewhere for this event, or are there only going to be 3 of us show?

 

With the Calgary group, it is hard to say who will show up. I've talked to a couple of the guys who just don't know if they will be free or not. This is a good cruise. There will be quite a few Rx7's there I'm sure.

 

Yes, this is posted on msprotege and beyond and probably a few others. Last year was fun. But looks like there will be more 8s this year. Is BlueFrenzy, Early30s and DyingHere coming out for this?

 

BlueFrenzy wasn't sure if he could make it. Same thing as always...he usually works on Saturday. I don't know about the other two.

 

 

Ahhh I was mentioned I havent said anything because I booked this off like 4 months ago (ha ha i'm such a n00b ) and I dont know if I can make it for sure.. I am stuck working that morning (very early) and if I am conscious at noon I will make my way over! I really dont want to miss it..

And I convinced a yellow Miata convertible to come too so I guess I have to go.

I saw a yellow FD with gold rims in my neighborhood the other day, I've never seen it before in the city. Wonder if it will be there, I want a closer look..

 

hey yoooooooo guys, i ve never been in this sub-forum(cuz i am new), i am also in Calgary, but i feel sorry that i cant go for the meeting this time, although i really wanna go....i have to work!!! but anyways, hope that if some of the friends(whoever comes to this forum, i usually consider as my friends) see me runing on roads, we might stop and check out cars with each other and also say" whats up"

 

Well it was a blast, all the cool 8's were there.. but I was disappointed in the Miata group.. considering I convinced a special couple in their pristine Sunburst Yellow to come with promises of others!

Anyway, my only regret is that I was so tired we didnt continue on and went home. So for this Calgary meet in Sept, guys what do you say we create Rotary in the Rockies and MAYBE we will invite the 7's?

Ya, you missed out driving up the switch-backs to Mt. Norquay. That's a fun road!!!


The thing that blew me away was that all day I didn't one COP on the road. That's a good thing considering the spirited driving just as we came down the hill towards Morley on the way out there.
