I just got my RX8 end Feb.
I can’t feel the speed in that car. Always surprise to read the speedometer.
Hope that the statement from the RX-8 Brochure is true.

They are 100% correct. The converse is also true “SOME INNOVATIONS Can be captured on a radar gun”

SlvrBullet ... it's a joke dude. Well not a joke but a little phrase to catch your attention. Like mdmaclean said ... innovations like the suicide doors, the fact that it's rotary, 50/50 weight balance, etc CANNOT be captured by radar gun is meant to spark your imagination and to make you realize how innovative/amazing the 8 is. I guess also things like how exciting it is to drive, how it much you will love it or other intangibles CANNOT be quantitatively measured with a radar gun.

Dang .. I should be in the advertisement business. It's kinda fun to write such artsy and imaginative things.
