Congrats! Any secret to your success? i.e. redline once or twice a day? certain kind of oil? certain kind of gas? I just finished paying for mine and I'm off warranty and I'm at 57,000kms. I hate making car payments so I need to have this car last a while.

I feel lucky to have owned a rotary engine, but from a long-term ownership perspective, I'd much rather they put a turbo MZR or V6 into this chassis and give up the handling for reliability. Or better yet, delete those two seats in the back and make a mid-engine piston sports car.

I am The One!
You guys are funny.
We've had 2nd gen owners with well over 250K on their original engines.
The engine isn't a problem. The problem is the driver trying to tinker with the performance of the car.
The engine already comes pretty well squeezed of all available power. And yet we add intake, exhaust, pulleys, etc. anything to add more power and then we want the engine to last long???
That doesn't work. Not on sports cars anyways.
You don't want to know what a rebuild is for a Porsche 911. They last just as long as our engines do, but their overhauls are much more expensive!
Typically all engines begin to produce less power as soon as they crest 200K on the clock. Most people don't care because those engines belong in economy boxes or mundane a-b vehicles.
Sports cars will always need rebuilding to give you maximum power. C'est la Vie!

Well I have no secret really. When the car needs gas I fill it, when it needs oil I fill it. I run synthetic 5W-20 despite the debates around it. Otherwise I drive fairly aggressively, my commute is mostly highway, I track the car regularily.
So far all my maintenance has been track related (brakes, tires, etc.). I'll be the first to let you guys/gals know when I crack 200 on the same motor.
